1. Identify the exact model and sales region
Ask the seller for the phone’s model code and the market it was made for. OPPO India identifies its Find X9 Pro specification as model CPH2791; that specification is a useful reference, not proof that every listing uses the same hardware or configuration. Request a photo of the box label or device information when practical, and make sure the model and region appear in the written order details.
- Confirm whether the device is new and sealed, refurbished, or previously activated.
- Ask which regional software version is installed and whether the seller will accept a return if the required functions do not work.
- Do not infer a model code from the product name or a “global version” label alone.

2. Check network compatibility with your carrier
Compare the exact model’s supported bands with the bands and device requirements published by the carrier you plan to use. OPPO’s India CPH2791 specification lists the following bands; they should not be assumed to apply to a different regional SKU.

A band match is not a guarantee of service. OPPO cautions that functions on a live network depend on carrier conditions and deployment. Ask your carrier to confirm approval for the precise model, including VoLTE and the 5G service you expect to use. OPPO’s warranty policy also flags possible frequency incompatibility across regions.

3. Verify SIM and eSIM support for that SKU
OPPO’s India CPH2791 page lists Nano-SIM, Nano-USIM, and eSIM support. OPPO’s China store separately identifies a satellite-communication edition with eSIM; that listing is not evidence that every China-market Find X9 Pro has the same SIM setup. Ask the seller to specify the exact edition and confirm which physical SIM slots and eSIM functions are available.
If you rely on eSIM, confirm that your carrier supports eSIM activation on the imported model as well as that the device supports it. A generic answer that the phone “has eSIM” may not establish that your carrier can provision it.

4. Establish warranty and repair terms before paying
Do not assume a manufacturer warranty transfers automatically across borders. OPPO advises buying through officially recognized channels, and its International Warranty Service is conditional. Contact OPPO in your country with the model code and seller details and ask whether this exact device qualifies, which repairs are covered, and where service must be performed.
- Get the warranty provider, duration, and covered repairs in writing.
- Clarify who pays for shipping, customs charges, and return transport if the phone needs service.
- Check the seller’s return window and whether opening or activating the phone affects eligibility.

5. Confirm software, updates, and required features
OPPO lists ColorOS 16 on its India specification page. OPPO Singapore states that the Find X9 series receives five major version upgrades and six years of security updates; treat this as a series-level commitment and confirm it applies to the exact regional SKU you are buying.
Official information cited here does not establish whether every China-market SKU has the Google app behavior, local-language completeness, notifications, contactless payments, or Android Auto you need. Ask the seller which ROM is installed and request a demonstration of your must-have functions. Keep a return option that remains usable long enough to test them on arrival.

6. Check what is included and how it will charge
OPPO India lists a charger and protective case among the box contents, but says packaging contents may vary by market. Confirm what the seller’s exact regional unit includes, especially if you need a charger suitable for your country.
OPPO India lists maximum wired charging of 80W with SUPERVOOC/UFCS and maximum wireless charging of 50W with AIRVOOC. These are protocol-specific maximums, not a promise that any USB-C adapter will reach them. Check the charger and cable supplied with the offer and whether a locally suitable charger is included.

7. Compare the whole offer, not only the sticker price
