First identify the accessory: many clip-on Kindle page-turners use a screen sensor and a separate RF remote, not Bluetooth. Amazon’s general Kindle Bluetooth guide documents pairing for supported audio devices and says Bluetooth keyboards and mice are unsupported. A newer report says Amazon’s Kindle Click is a Bluetooth page-turner for Kindle e-readers released from 2024 onward, but Amazon’s surfaced general Bluetooth page does not yet document Click. Check the instructions for your exact accessory and Kindle model before buying or pairing.
Identify which kind of page-turner you have
The connection method determines what to do next. Check the product manual or listing rather than assuming that any remote described as “wireless” uses Bluetooth.

Amazon’s general Bluetooth help page describes supported audio devices and says Bluetooth phone, keyboard, and mouse pairing is unsupported. Check your Kindle model before setup or purchase
- On the Kindle, swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Open All Settings → Device Options → Device Info.
- Use the model and release year shown there to compare against the accessory maker’s compatibility information or Amazon’s instructions. Amazon notes that not all Kindle models are released in every marketplace. Amazon: Identify Your Kindle E-Reader.
Do not rely on a retailer’s shorthand such as “new Kindle.” Compatibility claims for Kindle Click in the October 1, 2026 T3 report apply to Kindle e-readers made from 2024 onward, but do not establish support for every model, region, Kindle app, or third-party Bluetooth remote.

Pair a supported Bluetooth device using Kindle settings
Amazon’s documented pairing flow is for supported Bluetooth audio devices. It is useful as the Kindle’s general Bluetooth settings path, but it is not a confirmed, universal Kindle Click tutorial.
- Turn on the accessory and put it in pairing mode. Keep it near the Kindle.
- Open Quick Actions or tap the Menu icon.
- Select All Settings or Settings, then Wi-Fi & Bluetooth or Wireless.
- Turn Bluetooth on and choose Bluetooth Devices to scan.
- Select the accessory and choose Connect. If prompted for a PIN, select CONFIRM, then YES.
To remove a saved Bluetooth device, select Forget beside its name in the paired-device list. These labels and steps come from Amazon’s audio-device help; use accessory-specific instructions if your page-turner’s setup differs. Amazon Bluetooth pairing instructions.

Set up a screen-sensor clip and RF remote
Do not look for this kind of accessory in the Kindle Bluetooth list. The clip’s sensor needs to contact the screen, while the remote links to the sensor using the product’s RF procedure.
- Power on the screen sensor.
- Press the RF remote’s link or pairing control as described in the manual for that specific model.
- Position the clip on the display as directed. Some product instructions describe placing it on the left or right edge to choose previous- or next-page control.
- Test page turns before settling in to read. If it does not respond, adjust the sensor’s contact point and check the manual’s linking steps.
The left-versus-right control and linking sequence vary by product; follow the instructions supplied with your clip rather than treating one manufacturer’s procedure as universal. The manuals describe RF screen clips, not direct Bluetooth pairing. Product-specific clip instructions.

Use Kindle’s built-in double-tap page advance if your model supports it
Amazon documents an accelerometer-based double-tap feature on the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (12th Generation), both released in 2024. To enable it, open All Settings → Device Options → Double tap, then tap twice quickly on the side or back of the Kindle. Amazon says it tested the feature with its official cases but warns that it may not work with every third-party case. It is not a general feature for all Kindle e-readers. Troubleshoot by connection type
Bluetooth device does not appear or connect

- Temporarily turn off other nearby Bluetooth accessories.
- Check whether the accessory can connect to another device.
- Update the Kindle software, then restart both the Kindle and accessory.
- Reset the devices only if the earlier steps do not resolve the connection.
These are Amazon’s general audio-connection troubleshooting steps, not confirmation that a generic page-turner is supported. If the accessory is a page-turner, first check its own compatibility instructions.
RF clip does not turn pages
- Confirm that the remote has linked to the screen sensor using the accessory’s manual.
- Check that the sensor’s contact point is on the display and adjust its placement.
- Check whether a case obstructs contact with the screen.
Keep Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, and Kindle apps separate
Amazon describes switch access on compatible Fire tablets, including using switches to turn pages in Kindle books. That tablet feature does not establish support for a generic Bluetooth page-turner on a Kindle e-reader. The T3 report about Kindle Click likewise concerns Kindle e-readers made from 2024 onward; it does not establish compatibility with Kindle apps on iOS or Android or with desktop apps.
