To capture an AI-generated page as one image, first make its content available as a URL the capture service can reach, or as HTML the service can render. Then use a hosted browser-rendering API or run Playwright yourself, enable full-page capture, choose a viewport, and wait for the page’s real content to appear before saving the image.
What you need before capturing the page
An AI-generated page is not a special screenshot format: the capture service must be able to load its rendered page. A published or preview URL works when it is reachable by the browser service. If your generator provides HTML, Cloudflare Browser Rendering also documents HTML input. Confirm which export or preview options your specific generator offers; not every generator is established to provide both forms.
Cloudflare’s screenshot documentation describes processing webpage HTML and JavaScript from URL or HTML input, so the method applies to AI-generated pages that meet those input requirements. It does not describe a separate AI-page capture mode. Cloudflare Browser Rendering documentation

Cloudflare documents URL and HTML input for its screenshot endpoint, while Playwright documents capture of the full scrollable page. The available documentation does not establish comparable prices, throughput, geographic coverage, or reliability figures, so those should not be assumed in choosing between them.

Capture a full page with Cloudflare Browser Rendering
Cloudflare’s screenshot endpoint accepts a URL or HTML and provides full-page, viewport, and navigation/wait controls. Create an API token with the Browser Rendering permissions required by the documentation, then send a request with screenshotOptions.fullPage set to true. This example follows Cloudflare’s documented cURL pattern; replace the account ID, token, and target URL with your own values.

Use an appropriate readiness signal
A generated page may render its shell first and fill in text, images, or other components later. A generic navigation condition such as network idle can be unsuitable for pages with persistent network activity, while a fixed delay can be too short on a slow render and wasteful on a fast one. If the page exposes a stable selector that appears only when its main content is ready, prefer a selector wait when supported by the endpoint. Otherwise, choose a documented navigation condition or timeout that fits the page and inspect the result.
Use HTML input or request the rendered snapshot
If you have HTML rather than a public URL, use the documented HTML-input form of the screenshot endpoint. When you need both the rendered HTML and an image, Cloudflare’s snapshot endpoint documents returning HTML content and a screenshot in one request, including full-page configuration. Capture a full page with Playwright
Playwright is the self-managed option: your script launches or connects to a browser, navigates to the page, waits for suitable readiness, and calls the page screenshot method with fullPage: true. Install Playwright and its browser according to the official installation guide.

Adjust readiness for the page
If a page’s main content appears after navigation, wait for a meaningful page-specific selector before capturing. In Playwright, for example, add await page.locator('[data-page-ready="true"]').waitFor() before the screenshot if the generated page provides that selector. Replace it with an actual element or readiness marker on your page. Do not assume that every site supports the same marker.
Options that affect the result
- Full-page setting: Enable the API’s full-page option or Playwright’s
fullPage: true; otherwise the image may show only the current viewport. - Viewport: Set the width and height deliberately. A narrow viewport can trigger a mobile layout, while a wider one can change line wrapping and page height.
- Readiness: Select a navigation condition, selector wait, or timeout suited to the page’s rendering behavior. No single wait setting guarantees correct results for every site.
- Input form: Use a reachable URL when available; use HTML input only where the chosen endpoint documents support for it.
- Output format: Choose a supported image format in the API’s screenshot configuration. The cited Cloudflare API reference documents screenshot output options; verify the current accepted values there.
A full-page screenshot captures webpage content, not browser tabs or the address bar. Exact image dimensions and appearance depend on the viewport and the page content.

Troubleshoot missing or incomplete content

Performance, reliability, and cost considerations
Hosted rendering shifts browser-service operation to the provider; Playwright leaves browser lifecycle, runtime deployment, and maintenance with you. Either way, the screenshot is only as complete as the page state at capture time. Long or lazy-loaded pages merit inspection because the cited documentation does not promise that a single wait setting will account for every page’s behavior.
The cited technical references do not provide comparable costs, throughput, or capture-reliability measurements for Cloudflare and Playwright. Avoid estimating those from this workflow alone; evaluate the service and runtime against your own pages and deployment needs.
