Amazon Games called Throne and Liberty free to play and available on PC and consoles in its October 2024 release announcement. That is a dated launch statement, not a guarantee of current availability in every country or on every platform; check the listing for your region before downloading.
When is Final Fantasy XIV a better fit?
Consider Final Fantasy XIV Online if you want a fantasy MMO you can try before deciding whether to buy. Square Enix says on its North American free-trial page that trial character data can carry over to the full game, so you do not have to treat the trial as a separate character start.

The same announcement reported that AION 2 reached Steam’s global Top Sellers position and ranked first in 12 countries. Those are publisher-reported launch-period rankings, not independent evidence of player population, long-term popularity, or quality.
