To book Qantas First Class from Sydney to Dallas with points, search Qantas Classic Flight Rewards while logged in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. The published First reward rate for the applicable one-way distance band is 249,400 Qantas Points, before taxes, fees and carrier charges. That rate does not mean a seat is available: Qantas says reward inventory is limited, and you must verify both the live quote and aircraft for your chosen date.
How to search for a Qantas First reward to Dallas
- Sign in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account and search for Sydney to Dallas with the Rewards view selected. Qantas says Classic Flight Rewards can be booked up to 353 days in advance; online international bookings are permitted up to four hours before departure under its published rules. - Check the First cabin results and look for the red Reward ribbon, which identifies a Classic Flight Reward. Distinguish these from Classic Plus results: Classic awards use the published table rate when seats are available, while Classic Plus prices fluctuate with airfare levels. Qantas describes Classic reward availability as limited and recommends flexibility with travel dates and times.
- Open the specific itinerary and verify that it is the nonstop service you intend to book. Check the aircraft and cabin shown for that departure before proceeding.
- Review the points and cash total shown in the booking flow. Confirm that the selected result is the award type you want and that the displayed charges are acceptable before redeeming or transferring points.
How many Qantas Points does Sydney–Dallas First Class cost?
Qantas’s Classic Flight Reward table effective for bookings made from 5 August 2025 lists First Class at 249,400 Qantas Points one way in the 9,601–15,000-mile distance band. The table states that its points figures exclude taxes, fees and carrier charges. Check the live itinerary quote because availability and the amount payable in cash depend on the booking shown for your dates. The published table is at Qantas Classic Flight Rewards.
Are First reward seats available, and what will the cash charges be?
Availability is date-specific. Qantas says Classic Flight Reward seats are limited, so having enough points does not guarantee a First seat on a particular Sydney–Dallas flight. Search a range of dates and departure times if your plans allow; only Qantas’s live booking results can establish whether a seat is currently offered.
Taxes, fees and carrier charges are additional to the points price. Qantas says some eligible rewards departing Australia allow members to use points toward certain charges during online checkout, but local airport fees collected at check-in are excluded. Treat the total displayed for your chosen itinerary as authoritative; it can differ by date and flight.

Does Qantas fly an A380 from Sydney to Dallas?
Qantas lists Dallas among the ports served by its A380 network, but that does not establish that every Sydney–Dallas departure uses an A380 or predict the aircraft assigned to a future flight. Confirm the aircraft and First cabin for the exact service and date in the booking details before committing points. Qantas’s A380 factsheet lists its A380 ports.
What if no First reward appears?
Search more dates
Because reward inventory is limited, widening your date and time range is the simplest next step if your schedule permits. A Classic Plus result may also appear; compare its live points quote separately because its price follows airfare levels rather than the fixed Classic Reward table.
