Honkai: Star Rail and Blue Archive are strong first picks if you value a reputation for free-player generosity. But there is no reliable, like-for-like count showing which anime gacha game currently gives the most free pulls. The better choice depends on the game you enjoy, how much time you can spend, and whether its banner guarantees fit the characters you want.
This shortlist compares six games by play style and practical free-to-play fit—not by an independently measured reward ranking. Gacha games let you spend earned or purchased in-game currency on randomized character or item pulls; playing may be free, but a particular character is not necessarily available on demand.
How to choose a generous gacha game
Free rewards matter most when they arrive in a game you want to keep playing and can be saved toward a goal. Before choosing, weigh these factors together:
- Reward cadence: Look for recurring earnable currency, tickets, event rewards, and beginner rewards. Check whether the game lets you save them for a preferred banner.
- Banner guarantees: Learn how the current pity and guarantee rules work, including whether characters and equipment use separate systems. A generous reputation does not guarantee every limited character.
- Free-player viability: Consider whether starter or lower-rarity characters let you enjoy the story and the activities you care about. Being able to progress is different from collecting every character.
- Time commitment: Dailies, weekly tasks, farming, and limited-time events can make rewards costly in time. A routine you will not sustain has little practical value.
- Gameplay fit: Choose the loop you actually enjoy—exploration, turn-based planning, short action missions, tactical squads, or shooter combat.
Reward amounts and banner rules can change by version and region. The available cross-game estimates use differing assumptions and are not a sound basis for ranking these games by pull count.

| Game | Best fit | What stands out | Free-player caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honkai: Star Rail | Turn-based team planning | Described as generous with pull currency; auto-battle and flexible material farming can make routine play more convenient. | It remains a banner-driven character collector, and daily chores are part of the routine. |
| Blue Archive | Character- and story-led tactical play | Its mostly hands-off squad battles and reputation for free-player generosity suit players who prefer character focus over action combat. | Generosity is an editorial reputation, not a verified current pull budget. |
| Wuthering Waves | Fast action in an explorable world | Combat built around movement, dodges, and parries pairs with open-world exploration; updates have been described as generous. | Those descriptions do not establish a specific number of free pulls. |
| Genshin Impact | Exploration and a large campaign | Its open world, story, and elemental combat are the main draw. | New characters come through gacha, and dailies and material farming can demand considerable time. |
| Zenless Zone Zero | Stylish action in shorter sessions | A city hub and bite-sized missions offer a more compact action loop. | Characters are banner-acquired; event rewards are time-limited rather than a standing benefit. |
| Goddess of Victory: Nikke | Shooter combat and story | It is a shooter option with recurring free gems and recruit tickets noted in coverage. | Coverage flags a “160 wall” progression constraint, possible non-returns for limited or collaboration characters, and repetitive combat. These are editorial observations, not a current guarantee of account outcomes. |
The descriptions above reflect editorial comparisons, not a controlled test or a common official reward ledger. No comparable, official current free-pull total is established for the six games.
How the six games differ in practice
Honkai: Star Rail: turn-based play with a lower-friction routine
Choose Honkai: Star Rail if you prefer planning teams and taking turns over real-time action. Auto-battle and flexible character-material farming can reduce the effort of routine play, though daily chores remain. Its reputation for generous pull currency makes it a sensible candidate for free players, not a promise that every desired banner character will be attainable.
Blue Archive: character stories and tactical squads
Blue Archive is the character- and writing-focused option. Its squad battles are described as mostly hands-off, so it may appeal if you want a tactical structure without demanding constant action inputs. Its free-player generosity is a reputation rather than a verified account of current rewards.

Wuthering Waves: fast combat and exploration
Wuthering Waves is the action-first open-world choice. Movement, dodging, and parrying are central to its combat, while exploration gives players a world to roam between fights. Coverage describes its update cadence as generous, but that does not establish how many pulls a particular player will earn.

Genshin Impact: exploration first, with a larger farming commitment
Genshin Impact suits players who want an expansive world, story, and elemental combat. Its exploration and character-material farming can take more time than a compact-session game, and new characters are obtained through gacha. Its endgame is described as comparatively light, so weigh the campaign and world against your interest in repeatable endgame activities.
Rank #2
Zenless Zone Zero: compact urban action
Zenless Zone Zero centers on a city hub and shorter missions, making it a fit for players who want stylish action in more compact sessions. Characters come from banners, so check the live rules and event notices before treating any temporary giveaway as part of its normal reward flow.
One dated example is the version 3.1 second-anniversary announcement: its search-result excerpt described a free claim for Lucy’s “Princess on Holiday” outfit through the “Summer Waves Roll In” event. That is an event-specific outfit, not a recurring reward or evidence that it remains claimable. See the official Zenless Zone Zero news page for notices and verify the event dates and eligibility in your region.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke: shooter combat with collection caveats
Nikke is the shooter pick for players drawn to its combat and story. Coverage notes recurring free gems and recruit tickets, but also warns that limited or collaboration characters may not return. It also flags heavy gacha monetization and repetitive combat. Treat the reported “160 wall” as a progression caveat to investigate against current in-game rules rather than a universal measure of how many characters a free player can collect.

There is no established version-matched comparison of recurring rewards, newcomer totals, and guarantee rules across all six games. Patch duration, account progress, exploration completion, event participation, one-time beginner rewards, and region all affect what a player actually receives.

- Read the live banner details before spending currency. Confirm the featured character or item, pity rules, guarantee carry-over, and whether equipment has a separate system.
- Decide what you are saving for. Work out whether you want one specific character or general progression; do not assume free rewards let you obtain every limited release.
- Assess the routine, not just the giveaway. Check the daily and weekly activities and the time-limited events you would need to complete to earn rewards.
A temporary campaign can make a game unusually rewarding for a short period, but it does not establish its normal reward cadence. Compare current official notices and banner details for your market rather than relying on an old pull-count estimate or a giveaway from another version.
