What is Night Plane?
The Night Plane Steam store description calls it “a job-sim horror game where you work as a flight attendant on a doomed plane.” It is developed by Liquid Static Studio and Snapping Turtle, and published by New Tales. The setting and airline are fictional; the game is not a guide to real airline work.
You begin your first day at Plane Airlines, where familiar service tasks become part of a supernatural screening problem: some travelers may be shape-shifting entities pretending to be human. The premise also draws on dark corporate comedy, with the airline’s self-protective policies adding an absurd, 1990s corporate-nightmare tone.
What do you do in Night Plane?
The advertised gameplay combines three activities rather than focusing only on combat or only on customer service:

- Make narrative choices: deal with unsettling situations and decisions that the listing says can have irreversible consequences.
The store listing advertises voiced characters, character-led storytelling, doppelgänger detection and multiple endings. It does not specify the exact detection mechanics, number of endings or the outcomes of particular choices, so those details cannot be confirmed from the official summary.
What is the setting and visual style?
The story takes place in 1999, around Plane Airlines’ airport and aircraft. The demo listing describes boarding passengers, helping with airport-lobby side quests and attending to travelers during a night flight, while the full-game listing suggests that the flight can move beyond ordinary cabin service into more unsettling events.

The game uses PSX-inspired art direction, giving its horror a retro visual presentation. Its central contrast is between mundane service routines and the possibility that a passenger is not human.
Is Night Plane out yet, and can you try the demo?
As of October 3, 2026, the official Steam listing scheduled the full game for October 26, 2026. A release date on a store listing is subject to change. The reviewed listing identifies a Windows PC/Steam release; it does not establish availability on consoles.
