Put both OnePlus Nord Buds 3r earbuds in their case and open the lid to start first-time pairing. Then open Bluetooth settings on your Android phone, iPhone, or laptop and select OnePlus Nord Buds 3r. For earbuds that have already been paired, use one of the reset-to-pairing methods below before searching for them.
Put the earbuds into pairing mode
- For first-time pairing: Put both earbuds in the charging case and open the lid. The device-specific manual copy says this enters pairing mode when there are no existing pairing records; the white case light flashes.
- If they have been paired before: Wear the earbuds or remove them from the case, then hold both earbud touch areas for four seconds. Alternatively, if the earbuds are disconnected from another device, open the case and wait about 15 seconds for the white light to flash.
- On your phone or laptop, open Bluetooth settings and select OnePlus Nord Buds 3r.
The case has no Bluetooth pairing button. The gesture and light instructions come from a device-specific manual copy hosted by a regional retailer, so exact behavior may vary with firmware.
Pair with an Android phone
- Put the earbuds into pairing mode.
- Bring them close to the Android phone and look for Google Fast Pair’s pairing pop-up. OnePlus advertises Fast Pair for these earbuds.
- If no pop-up appears, open the phone’s Bluetooth settings, scan for devices, and tap OnePlus Nord Buds 3r.
OnePlus says some features must be enabled manually in phone settings on OnePlus phones or through the HeyMelody app on other Android phones. That feature management is not stated as a requirement for basic Bluetooth audio pairing.
Pair with an iPhone
- Put the earbuds into pairing mode.
- Open the iPhone’s Bluetooth device list and wait for OnePlus Nord Buds 3r to appear.
- Tap the earbuds’ name to connect.
OnePlus describes the earbuds as Bluetooth-compatible, but its product page does not provide an iPhone-specific menu sequence. Screen labels may differ by iOS version. The HeyMelody app may be used to manage some features; it is not identified as necessary for basic Bluetooth audio.

Pair with a Windows laptop
Make the earbuds discoverable before starting either Windows flow. The laptop must support Bluetooth; Microsoft says a USB Bluetooth adapter can add support if built-in Bluetooth is absent.
Windows 11
- Open the Bluetooth quick setting and go to Bluetooth device management.
- Choose the option to add a device, then select OnePlus Nord Buds 3r from the new devices list.
Windows 10
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Select Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
- Choose OnePlus Nord Buds 3r when it appears.
Windows menu wording can change with updates. If the earbuds do not appear, check that their white case light is flashing and that the laptop’s Bluetooth is on.

Connect to a second device or troubleshoot discovery
Switching between devices
OnePlus advertises dual-device connection and says you can switch between a phone, laptop, or tablet without reconnecting. Its product page describes switching, not simultaneous audio playback on both devices.

If the earbuds do not appear
- Confirm that the earbuds are in pairing mode before you scan. For previously paired earbuds, use the four-second touch-area hold or the disconnected-case method.
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled on the phone or laptop and that the earbuds are not connected to another device.
- Move the earbuds closer to the device. OnePlus states a maximum Bluetooth transmission distance of 10 m; it is not a guaranteed range, and electromagnetic interference can interrupt the connection.
- If Android Fast Pair does not appear, use the normal Bluetooth device list instead.
