The official sources available do not verify a Huawei phone called the Mate 90, so there are no confirmed Mate 90 specifications to compare. If you need native Google apps, start by checking that a replacement’s exact regional model is Play Protect certified. The Google Pixel 10 and Samsung Galaxy S26 are two current Android phones to investigate, but availability, certification, and network compatibility still need to be checked where you live.
Is there an official Huawei Mate 90?
The official sources cited here do not identify a Huawei model called the Mate 90. That means claims about its specifications, release, or Google-app support cannot be confirmed. Huawei’s published guidance instead addresses Mate 30 series phones and later models in general.
Huawei Consumer Support China says that, because of Google authorization, the Mate 30 series and subsequent models do not come preinstalled with Google Mobile Services (GMS) or Google apps. Huawei suggests trying web versions of Google apps, but that is not a guarantee that every service or app feature will work the same way as it does in a native Android app. Huawei’s support guidance is specific to its statement about preinstallation.
What to check if you need Google apps
Check the exact phone model and regional variant for Google Play Protect certification before buying. Google says the Play Store, Play Protect, and core apps such as Gmail, YouTube, and Maps are supported on certified devices. Certification is a better compatibility check than the brand name alone: a manufacturer may sell different variants in different markets.

- Find the complete model name or model number for the version sold in your country.
- Check it against Google’s certified Android devices information and Google Play’s supported-device guidance. Google notes that a missing device may be newly released or may not work with Google Play, so confirm with the seller or manufacturer if the listing is unclear.
- Verify that the model supports your carrier’s network bands and is available through a seller you trust.
- Before ordering, check local pricing and the details that matter to you, including storage, size, camera, battery, and software-support commitments.
Two Android alternatives to investigate
These are options to check, not a tested ranking. The available product sources establish that the phones exist and have Google-related features; they do not establish that every regional variant is certified, stocked locally, or the best choice for your needs.

How to choose between them
First rule out any model that is not confirmed as Play Protect certified or that does not work on your carrier. Then compare local price, preferred Android interface, size, storage, camera priorities, battery expectations, and the manufacturer’s software-support terms using current local product pages. Without your country and budget, there is no sound basis for naming a universal winner.
