Which is a better fit depends on whether ANC, battery between charges, gaming or another feature matters most to you; published specifications alone do not establish better sound or call quality.

Which one fits your priorities?
Choose Redmi Buds 5 if ANC is your priority
Xiaomi lists hybrid ANC rated up to 46 dB for Redmi Buds 5. The Nord Buds 3r specifications cited here mention call noise cancellation, which is different from ANC intended to reduce surrounding sound during listening. Redmi Buds 5 is therefore the more relevant choice between these two if you specifically want a published listening-ANC feature. The rating does not, by itself, prove how effective ANC will feel in everyday use.
Consider the Nord Buds 3r for its stated playback and gaming features
OnePlus lists up to 12 hours per charge in its specified conditions, compared with Xiaomi’s up-to-10-hour maximum for Redmi Buds 5 with ANC off. OnePlus also lists a 47 ms gaming mode. These figures may help narrow your choice, but they are not a guarantee of typical battery life or a direct latency test against Redmi Buds 5.

Compare connection features by what you use
OnePlus lists Bluetooth 5.4; Xiaomi lists Bluetooth 5.3, dual-device connection and Google Fast Pair. A newer Bluetooth version number does not establish a universally better connection. If switching between two devices matters, Xiaomi explicitly lists dual-device connection; if you need gaming mode, OnePlus publishes a latency figure.
Account for water and dust exposure
OnePlus specifies IP55 for the Nord Buds 3r earbuds, not the case, and Xiaomi lists IP54 for Redmi Buds 5. These ratings should not be read as permission to immerse either product. Check each manufacturer’s care guidance for your intended use.

That is dated listing context, not a verified current price or a matched comparison with Redmi Buds 5. Check current Indian seller listings for both models, including stock, warranty coverage and the final price, before deciding which offers better value.

If you are open to a different form factor, realme Buds Wireless 2 is a neckband rather than a true-wireless set. realme India lists a 13.6 mm driver, ANC rated up to 25 dB, IPX5 and playback claims of 18 hours with ANC on or 22 hours with ANC off under its stated test conditions. It may be worth considering only if a neckband suits you; current price and availability as a direct competitor have not been established.
