OnePlus Nord Buds 3R touch-control gestures
OnePlus publishes the following gesture mapping for the Nord Buds 3R:

Where to change Nord Buds 3R settings
The settings route depends on the phone. OnePlus directs users to phone settings on OnePlus phones running OxygenOS 12.0 or later, and to HeyMelody for other Android brands and iOS. The manufacturer does not document exact menu names or a universal navigation path on its product page.

Enable single tap and check the controls
- Pair the Nord Buds 3R with your phone and open the settings for the connected earbuds.
- On a OnePlus phone, look in phone settings for the Nord Buds 3R controls. On another Android phone or an iPhone, open HeyMelody and select the earbuds.
- Find the single-tap control and enable it if you want one tap to play or pause. OnePlus says single tap needs to be activated manually.
- Save any change, then try each gesture while audio is playing to confirm the behavior.
OnePlus does not publish the exact menu sequence, and HeyMelody’s listing does not establish that every phone shows the same controls. On some supported devices, the phone may expose headset features directly, so the app may not be needed. Google Play describes HeyMelody as an app for settings and firmware upgrades for OnePlus wireless headsets; see the HeyMelody Google Play listing.
Voice-assistant shortcut and other features
OnePlus also lists a voice-assistant shortcut that must be activated manually: in phone settings for OnePlus phones, or in HeyMelody for other Android phones and iOS. Which assistant responds depends on the phone’s built-in support. OnePlus gives Google Gemini, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri as examples, and says the shortcut is unavailable on phones without voice-assistant functionality.

If the earbuds’ controls do not appear
- Confirm the Nord Buds 3R are paired with the phone you are using, then reopen the connected-earbuds settings.
- On a non-OnePlus Android phone or iPhone, check the Nord Buds 3R device page in HeyMelody. On a OnePlus phone, check phone settings.
