Quordle’s standard Classic game gives you nine shared guesses to solve four five-letter words at once. The harder option listed for the game is Extreme, not a mode officially labeled “Hard Mode” in the third-party guide reviewed here. Practice games, streak tracking, and sharing can differ between Quordle versions, so check the controls and stats on the specific site you use.

How does Quordle work, and how many guesses do you get?

In Classic, you solve four five-letter words simultaneously using the same submitted guesses. The game listing describes Classic as nine guesses for four words. Each valid five-letter guess produces feedback on every board: green marks a correct letter in the correct position, yellow marks a letter in the word but in another position, and gray marks a letter absent from that board. A letter can receive different feedback on different boards. See the Quordle game listing and this rules guide.

Does Quordle have an official Hard Mode?

That depends on what you mean by “hard mode.” A third-party guide says the version it describes has no mode literally named Hard Mode; its named harder option is Extreme. It distinguishes that from Wordle’s familiar convention of requiring players to reuse confirmed clues. The game listing also names Extreme, but the accessible listing does not confirm the guide’s claim about the absence of a Hard Mode toggle. Accordingly, treat “no official Hard Mode” as version-specific rather than universal. You can always impose a personal rule to reuse revealed clues, but the game will not enforce it unless your version provides such a setting. See the Hard Mode guide.

What is the difference between Quordle modes?

The available listing gives specific guess counts and word-difficulty descriptions for three modes. It also lists Sequence, Rescue, and Weekly Challenge, but does not provide enough detail to compare their exact mechanics here.

Can you play Quordle unlimited times for practice?

Some Quordle implementations offer an unlimited or on-demand practice game, but that does not mean every version has the same practice feature or shares stats with its daily puzzle. One third-party site’s unlimited game is described as resetting on reload and not affecting that site’s daily streak or stats. Treat that as a claim about that implementation, not a general Quordle rule. Its details are described in this unlimited-play guide.

What does a Quordle streak count?

Streaks and stats are also version-specific. A third-party guide describes a stats panel with games played, win rate, current streak, and best streak. Another says its custom puzzles do not count toward that site’s daily streak or stats. The available descriptions do not establish a single tracking system across all Quordle sites, so check the stats panel on the version you use. See the stats guide and the custom-puzzle guide.

Can you share Quordle results?

A third-party custom-puzzle tool is described as generating a shareable link for a puzzle. That does not establish what the official daily game shares, or whether a result includes a grid, score, or streak. Use the result or share control shown by the particular version you played, and confirm what it displays before sending it. Do not assume a shared link preserves a result or updates someone else’s stats. The custom-puzzle feature is described at quordle.uk.
