Which graphics setting should you choose?
Make the choice based on how you play and which TV-mode priority matters more to you:
- Choose Prioritize Resolution for TV play if you prefer the higher output-resolution target of 2240 × 1260.
- Choose Prioritize Framerate for TV play if you prefer the preset that prioritizes framerate, accepting its lower output-resolution target of 1920 × 1080. Its published target is still 30 fps.
- For handheld play, the reported specifications list one mode: 1536 × 864 at 30 fps.
The resolution and frame-rate figures come from Capcom specifications reproduced in a September 18, 2026 report by Nintendo Everything. They describe output targets, not independently measured performance.

What the resolution and frame-rate figures mean
Capcom’s caveat, quoted in the September 18 report, says rendering resolution changes with system load. If it falls below the output resolution, the game applies upscaling. That means the listed output resolution should not be read as a fixed native internal rendering resolution.

The same report says frame rate may drop in some high-load situations. The 30 fps figures are published targets, not a guarantee of a perfectly steady frame rate in every scene. No Switch 2 launch-build test results are available here to establish actual stability or image quality.
Are there individual graphics sliders on Switch 2?
The available Switch 2 specifications identify resolution- and framerate-priority modes, but do not establish that players can adjust individual settings such as textures, shadows, anti-aliasing, motion blur, or effects. Capcom’s PC store page describes PC requirements and settings; those PC details are not evidence of Switch 2 options. Avoid relying on PC menu instructions for the console version.

Release timing and what may change
Capcom announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version for December 4, 2026, so these figures are pre-release information as of October 3, 2026. Capcom says further details may follow, and public specifications may be updated. You can confirm the announced version and date in Capcom’s announcement; Nintendo UK’s listing also identifies TV, tabletop, and handheld play.
Producer Genki Sunano described the porting work in an interview reported by Nintendo Life on October 2, 2026: “It was this painstaking, and at times seemingly endless, process of making decisions and optimizations one by one that proved to be one of our biggest challenges in delivering a comfortable handheld experience while preserving what makes Wilds feel like Wilds.” The comment offers development context, not a measured performance result.
