Milwaukee’s heated workwear lineup includes jackets, a hoodie, a vest and heated handwear, but these products are not interchangeable: heat coverage, weather protection, runtime and battery compatibility differ. The five picks below are based on Milwaukee’s published specifications. Those listings do not establish independent warmth or durability performance, and they do not show that these products are newly released for winter 2026.

Five Milwaukee heated-workwear picks

Use the specifications to match a garment to your work and layering needs. Runtime figures below are manufacturer-stated claims, not results from a controlled comparison. Milwaukee does not state a date for the cited specifications.

Pick Heat coverage Published runtime Construction and weather features Battery note
M12 Heated TOUGHSHELL Jacket (M100B-20M) Chest, back and pockets; zones controlled separately 12 hours low, 6 medium, 3 high Stretch polyester; wind and water resistance with DWR finish M12 battery compatible; also compatible with the Heated Gear Power Source with App Control
M12 Heated AXIS Hooded Jacket (M102B-21M) Chest, back and shoulders 12 hours low, 6 medium, 3 high 100% polyester AXIS ripstop; wind and water resistance with DWR finish M12 battery compatible
M12 Heated Hoodie (M200B-20M) Chest and back 8 hours low, 4 medium, 2 high 56% cotton / 44% polyester; fleece and jersey lining; full zip to the chin M12 battery compatible; zippered battery pass-through pocket
M12 Heated AXIS Vest (M300B-20M) Chest and back 8 hours low, 4 medium, 2 high AXIS ripstop polyester; wind and water resistance with DWR finish; adjustable waist drawcord M12 battery compatible; zippered battery pass-through pocket
Heated Winter Gloves (M700B-21M) or Heated Work Glove Liners (M701B-21M) Gloves heat the back of the hand and fingers; liners are designed to go beneath work or winter gloves Not stated in the cited product information Gloves have wind and water resistance and reinforced palm and high-wear areas Both specify Heated Gloves 2Ah Battery model 48-11-2320; this is not identified as an M12 battery

1. M12 Heated TOUGHSHELL Jacket: more zones and separate control

Choose this jacket if you want heat at the chest, back and pockets, with the zones controlled separately. Its DWR-finished, wind- and water-resistant stretch-polyester construction is a different proposition from a waterproof rain shell; the listing does not describe it as waterproof. Milwaukee says the jacket is washer- and dryer-safe.

2. M12 Heated AXIS Hooded Jacket: shoulder coverage

This hooded jacket adds shoulder heat to chest and back coverage. Its AXIS ripstop polyester and DWR finish provide the wind- and water-resistance features Milwaukee lists. The stated runtime matches the TOUGHSHELL jacket’s low, medium and high figures, but that does not establish equal performance in use.

  • One-touch LED controller with (3) heat settings per heat zone (chest and back zone can be adjusted independently of front hand pocket zone). Adjustable cuffs and waist with drop tail extended back.

3. M12 Heated Hoodie: a lined, zip-up layer

The hoodie heats the chest and back and has fleece and jersey lining, a full zip to the chin and a pass-through battery pocket. Its listed runtime is shorter than the two jackets above. Milwaukee describes it as washer- and dryer-safe.

4. M12 Heated AXIS Vest: core warmth under a shell

A vest can suit workers who want a heated chest-and-back layer beneath an outer jacket without choosing another heated jacket. The AXIS vest uses ripstop polyester and has a drawcord-adjustable waist. Its listed runtime is the same as the hoodie’s.

Milwaukee Heated Hoodie KIT M12 12V Lithium-Ion Front and Back Heat Zones - Battery and Charger Included - (Large, Gray)
  • Heat Core Body Areas: Durable carbon fiber heating zones distribute and maintain heat to chest and back
  • Rugged Construction: Durable cotton exterior and waffle-weave polyester lining withstand tough outdoor conditions and keep heat close to body
  • Adjustable Heat: One touch heat control provides the right heat for any weather
  • A range of proprietary material solutions drastically outperform traditional work wear with materials made to be stronger, lighter, and more flexible than what exists today; Washer and dryer safe

5. Heated gloves or work-glove liners: heat for hands

Milwaukee’s heated winter gloves place heat at the back of the hand and fingers. The liners are intended to fit under work or winter gloves, making them the layer-oriented choice. Both use the separately specified Heated Gloves 2Ah battery, model 48-11-2320—not the M12 battery compatibility listed for the garments above.

Two ways to build a weather-ready layering system

AXIS jacket with HYDROBREAK rain shell

For cold, rainy conditions, Milwaukee describes its M12 Heated AXIS Layering System with HYDROBREAK Rain Shell (203RN-21) as compatible with M12 Heated AXIS jackets. The shell has pass-through access to the heat controls, 2.5-layer construction with a polyurethane laminate, and reinforced high-wear zones. Milwaukee specifies 10K mm waterproofness and washer/dryer safety. It also lists up to 8 hours on a REDLITHIUM CP2.0 battery for core-zone operation; that runtime is a published specification, not an independent test result. Check the exact listing to confirm what is included in a particular purchase.

Heated hoodie paired with the 3-in-1 Ripstop Jacket

The M12 Heated 3in1 Ripstop Jacket (2170) combines a heated hoodie and ripstop shell, with carbon-fiber heating elements, high-wear reinforcement on the shell, and an M12 battery holder with USB port. Milwaukee gives runtime on an M12 REDLITHIUM 2.0 compact battery as 8 hours low, 4.5 medium and 3.25 high. The cited page is titled “Jacket Only,” so verify the retailer’s exact included components rather than assuming it comes with a battery or power-source parts.

How to choose for a jobsite

  • Match heat placement to the need: the listed jackets cover different combinations of chest, back, shoulders and pockets; the vest and hoodie heat chest and back, while the gloves target hands and fingers.
  • Plan the layers: a vest or hoodie can sit under an outer layer; the HYDROBREAK shell is the specifically described rain layer for compatible Heated AXIS jackets. Check fit and current size guidance for the garment and the layers you will wear beneath or over it.
  • Compare runtime at the setting you expect to use: the published figures differ by garment and heat setting. The pages do not establish actual runtime for your conditions, so do not treat a maximum low-setting claim as a guarantee for a full shift.
  • Confirm the battery and package contents: the cited M12 garments specify M12 compatibility, but glove products specify a different battery. Listings may differ in included components; check the exact model and kit description before buying.
  • Separate water resistance from waterproofness: the jackets and vest list wind and water resistance with DWR; Milwaukee gives a waterproofness specification for the HYDROBREAK shell.

Milwaukee Tool says its Heated Gear is developed with feedback from users across the trades through continuous jobsite research. That is the manufacturer’s description of its development process, not independent comparative testing of these garments.
