Use ChangeTower to watch an official, exam-specific result or notice page and email you when its monitored content changes. Start from the issuing authority’s current website, save the exact page URL in ChangeTower, choose a content or keyword monitor, and verify every alert at the authority’s site. An alert reports a detected change; it does not confirm that results have been declared.
How to find the right official result page
Identify the exam, session and year first. Then start at the exam authority’s own site and follow its current result or notice links. Prefer the specific result list or exam notice over a broad homepage: changes on a general homepage may have nothing to do with your exam.
- NTA: Start at the official Exam Result page and follow the exam-specific link for the current session.
- SSC: The legacy SSC results page directs visitors to ssc.gov.in for current applications, notifications, results and updates. Use the current portal rather than relying on older listings.
- CBSE: The CBSE results portal is a starting point, but specific result pages and access routes may change by session. For its May 13, 2025 Class XII result cycle, CBSE listed cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, DigiLocker and UMANG as access routes; those routes describe that cycle, not a guarantee of the route for a later year. See the CBSE 2025 notice.
- Central and state result discovery: results.gov.in describes itself as a single-point gateway for central and state boards, universities and entrance exams, maintained by NIC’s eCounselling Division. Its page states it was last updated on November 16, 2021, so use it to discover a destination and confirm the active page with the exam authority.
Check that the domain and page apply to the right exam and year, and look for an official notice about portal migrations. In a February 12, 2024 advisory, CBSE warned about misleading social-media accounts using its name or logo and advised following its official X handle for verified information. Start with verified authority websites and channels rather than reposts: CBSE’s advisory.
Set up a ChangeTower monitor
- Copy the exact page URL. Use the result list, result notice or exam-specific page that should change. ChangeTower’s setup guide recommends entering the full URL for the page of interest and saving a baseline for comparison.
- Create a monitor. Add the URL in ChangeTower and save the initial page snapshot. Future checks are compared with that baseline.
- Choose the signal. Use content monitoring if any page edit matters. Use keyword monitoring if you want to watch for a phrase such as the exam name together with “result” or “scorecard.” If unrelated portions of the page cause noise, use selective monitoring to focus on the relevant region. ChangeTower also describes Smart Monitor criteria, which let you specify what kind of change matters.
- Set the schedule and email alert. ChangeTower’s feature materials document frequencies from every five minutes to weekly; its email-notification page lists every five minutes, hourly, daily, or a custom day and time. Email is enabled by default when a monitor is created, according to that page. Available settings may depend on the account or plan, so check the options shown in your account. A listed interval is not a guarantee that every check completes at precisely that time.
- Save and review the monitor. Confirm that the saved URL is still the intended official page and that the selected area or keyword reflects the result announcement you care about.
ChangeTower also documents Slack, Microsoft Teams and webhook alerts. Email is a straightforward choice for an individual; team channels or webhooks may suit a shared monitoring workflow. See its feature overview and email notification details for the service’s current descriptions.
#1 Best Overall
- Notification when a website of your choice changes
- Visual difference of all modifications to a website detected (diff)
- Choose exactly which part or parts of a page to watch
- Check pages even behind logins, HTTP Authentications, form posts or long navigational sequences
Choose monitoring settings that fit the page
| Setting | Best fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Content monitoring | You want to know about any detected change on a focused result page. | Unrelated edits can also trigger an alert. |
| Keyword monitoring | You care about a phrase appearing or disappearing, such as an exam name or result wording. | An announcement phrased differently may not match the chosen term. |
| Selective monitoring | The page has other changing areas, but one result panel or section matters. | The selected region must continue to contain the relevant information as the page changes. |
If the authority provides only a broad results index, monitor that page and consider a keyword criterion. A page change can be a menu update, notice correction or unrelated edit, so neither broad content monitoring nor a matching phrase alone proves that your result is available.
What to do when an alert arrives
- Open the alert and inspect the reported difference or matching phrase.
- Navigate to the exam authority’s official page directly, rather than relying only on an email link or a forwarded message.
- Read the notice and follow its official instructions for credentials, scorecards and any separate documents.
- If the page is unchanged or the alert concerns unrelated content, treat it as a non-result change. Recheck that the monitor URL and selected region are still appropriate.
For example, CBSE’s May 13, 2025 Class XII notice said online results were for immediate information and that original marksheets were issued separately. That is specific to that notice and cycle; follow the instructions on the current notice for your exam. Read the 2025 notice.
Limits and practical reliability
- A monitor is not the issuing authority. It detects changes according to its settings; it does not declare a result or establish that a notice is authentic.
- Pages and links can move. Government portals may change, use session-specific links or route visitors through forms. Revisit the official site if a monitor stops showing meaningful content or the authority announces a migration.
- Not every result appears as readable page text. If access depends on a form or a changing session link, a page monitor may not expose the result itself. Continue to use the official portal for the result.
- Check the schedule in context. A five-minute setting, where available, describes a configured check frequency, not guaranteed delivery timing or advance warning before an announcement.
- Keep a direct route to the source. Bookmark the exam authority’s official result page and use the alert as a prompt to check it.
Troubleshooting ChangeTower result alerts
No alert arrives
- Confirm that the monitor is active, the URL is correct and email notifications are enabled.
- Check the schedule and account settings; published frequencies do not mean every check completes exactly on schedule.
- Open the page directly to see whether it changed from the saved baseline in a way your selected monitoring mode would detect.
Alerts are noisy or unrelated
- Switch from whole-page content monitoring to a keyword or selective-area monitor if the important signal is narrower.
- Choose a phrase likely to appear in the relevant notice, while recognizing that wording can vary.
- Use the exact exam-specific page when possible instead of a homepage or general portal index.
The page is blank, outdated or has moved
- Visit the authority’s homepage and follow its current result link again; check for a portal-migration notice.
- Update the monitored URL and save the correct current page as the baseline.
- For SSC, follow the legacy results page’s direction to ssc.gov.in rather than treating old listings on ssc.nic.in as current updates.
Or skip the browser setup
For a screenshot of a page rather than an email change alert, ScreenshotNeo offers a one-call screenshot API. It can remove cookie banners, newsletter popups and chat widgets before a shot; bot checks, blank pages and failed loads are not billed; and its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. It does not replace an exam authority or provide ChangeTower-style change alerts.
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for options and setup.
