Find the order on the official eCourts portal
The eCourts High Courts Services portal provides searches by case number, court number, party name, and order date, and includes a neutral citation number search field. Choose the route that matches the information you have. Search instructions may require you to enter a captcha, so complete the lookup interactively before trying to copy the resulting link.
- Open the official eCourts High Courts Services portal and select the relevant search route.
- Enter the available case details and complete any captcha shown by the portal.
- Open the result and select “Order on Exhibit” or “Copy of Judgement” to view the order or judgment as a PDF.
- Copy the PDF URL from the browser if it is accessible as a URL.
The portal’s instructions identify those controls as the route to view orders or judgments in PDF format. The interface and access conditions can vary; no individual court bench’s current interface is established here.

Replace the example with the PDF URL you copied. If you use the documented Docker Compose setup, run the add command inside the ArchiveBox container. The project also documents Docker and a uv package installation; setup steps depend on your platform and version, so follow the project’s current instructions for the environment you use.
Archive the case-detail page too, when useful
If the case result or detail page is publicly reachable, submit that page URL as a separate target. The page and the order PDF are different records: the PDF contains the document, while the page can retain context around the downloadable order. ArchiveBox lists outputs including original HTML/CSS/JavaScript, single-file HTML, screenshot PNG, PDF, and WARC. Those are documented output types, not a guarantee that every output will be available for every URL or configuration.

Check what ArchiveBox captured
- Open the resulting snapshot and confirm that it contains the intended order or case information.
- Check the PDF itself when the order is important; do not treat a successful submission command as proof that the document was retrieved correctly.
- Keep the official eCourts source link alongside the archived copy so you can return to the current official record.
- If a target fails, retain the directly accessed PDF locally if available and try the case page and PDF URLs as separate ArchiveBox inputs.
Captcha-based searches and session-dependent pages can complicate automated retrieval. ArchiveBox’s URL-oriented capture workflow does not promise that it can complete a live portal search or access every session-bound link.

The PDF opens in the browser, but ArchiveBox does not capture it
Submit the PDF URL directly rather than only the case page URL. Some portal links may depend on a live session or other interactive access; ArchiveBox does not promise to retrieve such links. Verify the URL remains accessible, and check the snapshot output after submission.
The search result is behind a captcha
Complete the portal search interactively, then copy the accessible result or PDF URL. Do not assume ArchiveBox can solve the captcha or reproduce the search session.

The snapshot contains the page but not the order
Submit the PDF URL as its own target. A case page and its downloadable order are distinct URLs and may yield different capture results.
I need an official or certified copy
An ArchiveBox snapshot is not established as a court-issued certified copy or as suitable for filing. Use the official court record and the court’s applicable process when an authoritative or certified document is required.
