Choose the right method for the price you want to check

- Open the app’s scanner.

- Review the product price and related details shown in the app.
Walmart’s Check a price instructions describe this barcode workflow. It’s useful for an in-store check, but Walmart’s guidance does not say that scanning creates a watchlist or sends a future price-drop alert.
Set up price-drop monitoring with a third-party tracker
An iOS App Store listing for Price Tracker for Walmart App advertises price history and price-drop alerts. Its listed version 5.0.9 is dated December 1, 2025. Recent 2025 reviews include complaints that the app was not functional or was outdated, so treat its feature description as a claim to verify, not a guarantee that tracking currently works.

Before relying on an alert
- Find the exact Walmart listing for the item, including size, color, model, and other variant details.
- Check whether the tracker supports that specific listing and whether it distinguishes Walmart-sold items from Marketplace sellers.
- Record the current price and set a target price if the tracker offers that option.
- Enable its notification permission, then test that it can send an alert before depending on it.
- Recheck the listing directly at Walmart before purchasing; a tracker notification is a prompt to verify, not a purchase confirmation.
Exact watchlist steps vary by service; these steps are a practical checklist, not verified instructions for a particular app version. Also review the app’s privacy disclosures. Apple’s listing says the developer indicated usage data may be used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, while Apple notes it has not verified those privacy responses.
Another reported option
A May 2026 Reddit community post mentions CamelMart as a Walmart price tracker with historical charts and deal alerts. That is an informal report, not first-party documentation or a guarantee of current availability. Check that the service is available and can monitor your exact item before using it.

Walmart’s policy says it does not match a Walmart.com price for an item already purchased on Walmart.com when that price later drops. Monitoring can alert you to a change, but it does not establish a right to a post-purchase refund.
A separate in-store rule allows a shopper to ask an associate at checkout to match an identical item that is currently in stock and available on Walmart.com. Walmart lists exclusions, including competitor prices, special-event prices such as Rollback or clearance, Marketplace or other third-party seller prices, and prices at other Walmart stores. The policy leaves the final decision to a manager. Review Walmart’s policies and guidelines before relying on a match, since the company can change its policy.

Why a listing’s price can still change
In an Associated Press report dated September 27, 2026, Walmart CEO John Furner said, “We don’t set different prices based on who you are or the time of day, and we won’t.” The report also says prices may move when Walmart’s costs to buy or transport an item change, or when it can pass savings along. That statement is not a promise that any individual product’s price will stay fixed.

No. Walmart’s official scanner instructions describe checking a current price and product details, not setting automatic alerts.
Will Walmart refund me if the online price drops after I buy?
