Choose a tracker that fits the product and your location
For products across retailers, start with Google Shopping price tracking where it is available. For Amazon listings, Amazon’s own price history, camelcamelcamel and Keepa offer Amazon-focused ways to follow prices. Their coverage, price types and alert controls differ, so first confirm that the service supports your country or marketplace and the exact version of the product you want.
- Google Shopping: Product tracking with optional target prices and notifications by push and email. Google lists availability in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan and India; features can vary by device and Google surface. Google’s instructions for tracking a product’s price explain the flow.
- Amazon price history: Amazon says eligible products can show 30-, 90- and 365-day history through Alexa for Shopping and product-page controls. Its article lists the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and India for price-history availability; 365-day insights are rolling out in the United States, United Kingdom and India. Amazon’s guide to checking price history describes where to find it. Availability may differ by feature, so follow what appears in your current app or product page.
- camelcamelcamel: Amazon-focused price charts and threshold-based email watches, with separate Amazon, third-party new and third-party used prices. Its listed Amazon locales are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Registration is optional on the site, but an email address is used for alerts; the Camelizer extension requires an email for its watch function. - Keepa: Its Chrome Web Store listing describes price-history charts on Amazon product pages, price-drop and availability alerts, and international price comparisons. It lists Amazon marketplaces in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, India and Mexico, and says an account is not required to start tracking. Store listing information can change; check the current listing and its linked privacy policy before installing. Keepa’s Chrome Web Store listing has its current details.
Set up a price alert in Google Shopping
- Sign in to your Google Account in Google Shopping on the web or in the Google app. Check that notifications are enabled for the app or device if you want push alerts.
- Search for a product or category and open the relevant product card.
- Choose Track price. If there are variations, select the size, color or other version you actually want.
- If offered, enter a target price; otherwise, track the item without one.
- Confirm the watch. Google says a price falling below the target triggers a push notification and email. Its help page reproduces the confirmation wording: “You’ll get push notifications and emails on price drops and related content”.
- Use your saved items and notification controls to remove a tracked product or silence updates when you no longer need them.
Google’s listed countries are not a guarantee that every feature appears on every device or surface. If you cannot find Track price, check your account sign-in, local availability and the current Google Shopping interface.
Track Amazon prices and inspect their history
Use Amazon’s own price history
Open an eligible product page and look for the price-history link near the price, or open Alexa for Shopping in the Amazon app or desktop interface. Amazon’s article describes selectable 30-, 90- and 365-day views. It also says Rufus was renamed Alexa for Shopping on May 13, 2026; current labels may depend on where the feature has rolled out. Ask questions such as “What’s the price history?” or “Has this item been on sale in the past 30 days?” where the interface supports them.

Amazon Staff reported in its 2026 article that more than 50 million customers had checked price history since its 2024 launch, and that the average customer checked three times a month. Those are company-reported figures, not independent usage measurements.
Create an email watch with camelcamelcamel
- Open the relevant Amazon product in a marketplace supported by camelcamelcamel.
- Find the product on camelcamelcamel and select the price type you care about: Amazon, third-party new or third-party used.
- Set a price threshold for that price type and provide an email address for the alert. The Camelizer extension can show pricing trends on Amazon pages; its watch function requires an email, while its history features can be used without one.
- Use the chart and its high, low and average figures to put the current price in context. Manage watches by price type so a third-party used offer does not stand in for the Amazon new price you intended to follow.
camelcamelcamel says its price and availability data updates from Amazon constantly, but advises checking the Amazon listing before purchase. Its support pages cover cases such as an offer price not appearing, third-party Prime offers, missing price types and shipping or handling differences: camelcamelcamel support.

Track with Keepa
Install the Keepa Chrome extension from its listing, then open an Amazon product page to view the embedded history chart. The listing describes alerts for a price below a target and for an item returning to stock, as well as international price comparison. It says tracking can start without an account. Since extension permissions and data disclosures can change, review the listing and current privacy policy before installation.
Choose the right alert and interpret the chart
Before you create a watch, check these differences rather than relying on the service name alone:

- Retailer and region: A tracker may cover many Google Shopping products or a defined set of Amazon marketplaces. Verify your country and the store selling the item.
- Variant: Ensure the watch follows the right size, color, capacity or model. A lower price for a different variant is not a useful alert.
- Threshold: Decide whether you want a notification at any drop or only below a price you would actually pay. Target-price controls are not identical across services.
- Notification channel: Google describes push and email notifications; camelcamelcamel uses email for watches. Check app, browser and email permissions, as applicable.
- Price type: On Amazon, distinguish the Amazon offer from third-party new and used offers. Also check whether a chart includes shipping or other costs.
- History window: Amazon describes 30-, 90- and 365-day views for eligible products; other chart controls and histories are service-specific.
- Account and privacy: Google tracking requires a signed-in Google Account. camelcamelcamel registration is optional on its site but email is needed for alerts; Keepa’s listing says no account is required to start tracking. Review each service’s current privacy information for details of data handling.
A chart is context, not a buy recommendation. A displayed historical low does not promise that the same seller, condition, shipping cost, coupon or stock will still be available when you act. Google notes that prices are dynamic; camelcamelcamel likewise recommends checking the listing. Verify the live offer and final checkout total before purchasing.
Troubleshoot missing or misleading alerts
No alert arrives
- For Google Shopping, confirm that you are signed in to the intended Google Account, that the item is still tracked and that app or device notifications are permitted. Check email notification settings as well.
- For camelcamelcamel, verify the email address and the threshold on the intended price type; check spam or filtering rules.
- For Keepa, confirm that the alert is configured for the correct marketplace and target or availability condition, and check the extension’s current settings.
- Allow for the possibility that the chosen target has not been reached. A displayed change in one offer does not necessarily mean the tracked price type crossed your threshold.
The alert price differs from the offer or checkout total
Open the live product page and inspect the seller, condition, stock status and shipping or handling. Third-party Prime offers and shipping costs can make a displayed or charted price differ from the amount you will pay. camelcamelcamel’s support index specifically identifies offer-price mismatches, third-party Prime offers, missing price types and shipping as recurring questions. Treat the actual checkout total as decisive.

You cannot find a product or Track price control
Try the exact product name or a more specific query, then check whether the item and region are supported. Google says its features can vary by device and surface; Amazon price-history availability also varies by feature and rollout. On Amazon trackers, make sure you are viewing a marketplace the service lists.
