Chrome Sync can sync extension information and settings, but Google’s documentation does not say it syncs image files created by Nimbus Screenshot. To open a capture from another Chrome profile, save it to a shared location—such as Nimbus Note, Google Drive, Dropbox, or a folder both profiles can access—and open that destination from the second profile.
Chrome Sync does not move your screenshot files
Installing or syncing an extension is different from syncing the files it creates. Google lists extension information and settings among Chrome Sync data, but that documentation does not establish that Nimbus Screenshot images are included. Google’s Chrome Sync documentation therefore is not a basis for expecting an existing capture to appear in another profile.
Chrome profiles keep browsing information separate. Even when profiles use the same Google account, a capture still needs to be saved somewhere the other profile can reach. Google describes using profiles to keep work and personal accounts separate, and accessing Chrome information on devices signed into the same account; that is not a promise that extension-created image files transfer between profiles. Choose where the capture should be available

Nimbus’s screenshot guide describes editing a capture, signing in or creating an account, choosing a folder, and uploading it to Nimbus Note. It also describes saving to disk and sending a screenshot to Google Drive; Nimbus’s capture product page lists Dropbox as a destination. The available documentation does not guarantee automatic appearance in every separate profile: the destination account and folder permissions matter.

Upload a capture to Nimbus Note
- Capture and, if needed, edit the page in Nimbus Screenshot.
- Choose the Nimbus Note upload option. Sign in or create an account if prompted.
- Select the folder and upload the capture. For an organization capture, select the appropriate organization and workspace.
- In the other Chrome profile, sign into the same Nimbus account and open the folder or workspace where the capture was saved.
Menu wording can vary by extension version. Nimbus’s guide describes this workflow, but the guide surfaced in the available documentation is older, so treat its exact controls as potentially changed.
Save to a shared disk folder instead
If you prefer not to use a cloud account, save the image to a location both profiles can access. Nimbus’s settings documentation describes choosing a destination folder for disk saves and setting a filename pattern for files saved to disk or Nimbus Note: Nimbus Screenshot for browsers’ settings.

- In the screenshot extension’s settings, locate the save destination or Save As option. Select a shared folder if both profiles use the same computer, or a network/shared location available to both users.
- Save the capture there and note the filename and folder.
- Switch to the other Chrome profile and open the file from that shared location.
A local save is not automatically synchronized: a folder on one computer is not accessible from a different device unless it is itself shared or synchronized by another service.
Check the extension name before following a guide
The Chrome Web Store listing observed for Nimbus is titled Web Clipper (Nimbus) and describes clipping web content into Nimbus Note. Nimbus’s screenshot help materials refer to Nimbus Screenshot or Nimbus Capture. Make sure you have the screenshot capture tool, not only a web clipper, before looking for capture and upload controls. Names and availability can change.

Troubleshooting captures that do not appear
- Only installed the extension in the other profile: Installing it does not transfer earlier image files. Open the original destination or save/upload the capture there first.
- Signed into the wrong Nimbus account: Sign into the account used for the upload, then check the selected folder or organization workspace.
- Using Drive or Dropbox: Confirm the second profile is signed into an account with access to the saved file.
- Saved locally: Confirm the second profile can open the exact folder path. A file stored in a profile-specific or device-local location will not appear elsewhere by itself.
- Looking for screenshot controls in Web Clipper: Check the extension identity; the store listing currently found is a web-clipping product, while Nimbus’s guide describes a screenshot tool.
- Expecting Chrome Sync to restore a capture: The cited Google Sync page covers extension-related information/settings, not a documented guarantee for Nimbus-generated image files. Use an explicit file destination instead.
