IRL Pro’s guide describes broadcasting over a single connection, so two independent senders are the conservative documented setup. The available documentation does not confirm that IRL Pro can run two simultaneous sessions on one phone or send one session to two separate channel events.
What you need for two separate streams
- Two YouTube channels eligible to go live. Each must be verified and have live streaming enabled; YouTube says initial activation can take at least 24 hours.
- A separate live event and event-specific server URL and stream key for each channel.
- Two independent IRL Pro senders for the conservative documented setup. These may require two suitable devices; the reviewed documentation does not establish that one phone can run two simultaneous independent IRL Pro sessions.
- Enough upload capacity for both outgoing feeds, with additional headroom for mobile network variation.
YouTube supports multiple simultaneous live streams up to a platform limit, subject to channel eligibility. Its documentation also describes local encoders and cloud services, but it does not validate a particular relay for this two-event IRL Pro workflow. YouTube Help: stream across multiple platforms.
Create a separate YouTube event for each channel
- Confirm live access on both channels. Sign in to each channel and verify that it is eligible and live streaming is enabled. Allow at least 24 hours for first-time activation if necessary.
- Create or schedule the first event. In YouTube Studio for channel one, open Go Live and create a stream, or use the Manage tab to schedule one. Scheduling lets you share the event URL and viewers can set reminders.
- Copy channel one’s connection details. Retrieve the server URL and stream key associated with that specific event. Label them clearly as channel one’s credentials.
- Repeat on channel two. Switch to the second channel, create or schedule its own event, and retrieve its own server URL and stream key. Do not reuse channel one’s details.
YouTube’s encoder workflow associates connection details with the selected live stream. Keeping each event and its credentials clearly labeled helps prevent sending a feed to the wrong event. YouTube Help: stream across multiple platforms.
Configure an IRL Pro sender for each event
- Choose the connection method supported by the destination. Enhanced IRL’s IRL Pro guide describes support for RTMP and SRT, and says IRL Pro broadcasts over a single connection. The exact workflow below reflects that guide’s stream-key dashboard; follow the current instructions from the issuer of your actual YouTube event credentials.
- Set up sender one. In the stream-key dashboard, choose the protocol, copy the complete publish URL, select the same protocol in IRL Pro, and paste the URL in its URL/server field. Enhanced IRL’s guide says its SRT key is carried in the
streamid; its RTMP URL already ends in the key. Do not substitute a third-party service URL for YouTube’s event details unless that service is actually the ingest path you intend to use. - Set up sender two independently. Repeat the configuration with channel two’s own event details and label the sender and event to avoid mixing credentials.
- Check both previews. For scheduled streams, YouTube says to wait for the preview, then click Go live in Live Control Room. Monitor stream health for each event while both feeds are running.
Enhanced IRL’s configuration examples concern its stream-key service; they do not replace YouTube’s own event-specific URL and key. Its guide is available at Enhanced IRL Docs: IRL Pro.

Plan bitrate and mobile upload capacity
YouTube advises adding the target bitrates of all outgoing feeds to estimate combined upload demand, then aiming for 1.5 to 2 times that total, particularly on shared connections. For example, YouTube’s guidance uses a 6 Mbps feed plus a 4 Mbps feed: 10 Mbps combined target, with a suggested upload target of 15–20 Mbps. This is planning guidance, not a guarantee that a mobile connection will sustain those rates while moving. Test in conditions similar to the broadcast and watch each stream’s health indicators. Enhanced IRL advises keeping resolution, frame rate, and bitrate below the applicable plan cap, starting around half the cap, walking the usual route, and increasing only if bitrate remains stable. The figures below are the caps and example starting settings listed in its documentation, accessed in 2026; they are Enhanced IRL plan figures, not YouTube requirements, and may change. These caps are relevant only if you use the corresponding Enhanced IRL plan. They are not universal IRL Pro settings. The reviewed documentation does not establish a special IRL Pro screen for controlling two channels together.
Troubleshoot connection and stream problems
IRL Pro reconnects repeatedly or YouTube shows no signal
Check that the sender has the current URL and key for the intended event. Enhanced IRL says a URL can become invalid after changing a key’s region or protocol, or rotating the key; publish and copy the replacement URL. For YouTube, retrieve the current connection details for the correct event rather than relying on stale credentials.

The moving feed degrades or drops
First check the mobile connection and reduce bitrate if the available upload capacity is unstable. Enhanced IRL recommends SRT over RTMP for its documented stream-key service, or lowering bitrate when already using SRT. That is provider guidance, not confirmation that every YouTube ingest path supports every protocol; verify that the chosen destination and ingest path support it. A protocol change cannot by itself fix weak mobile coverage.
One channel receives the wrong feed or fails to connect
Compare the event names with the credentials configured in each sender. Each feed should use the URL and key for its own channel’s event. Correct any mix-up, then check both previews and stream-health indicators again.
