Nimbus Screenshot is now presented through FuseBase as part of a broader capture and collaboration product, while its paid Capture Pro plan bundles unlimited screenshots with video and sharing features. Those extras can justify a subscription for training, bug reports, or team communication—but they add little value if you only save occasional webpage images. The key caveat: current sources do not establish the free plan’s screenshot allowance or show an authoritative current price, so check both before deciding.
What Nimbus Screenshot offers now
The naming can be confusing: the vendor presents the product through FuseBase, while the Firefox add-on still uses the Nimbus Screenshot name. FuseBase’s terms identify FuseBase as operated by Nimbus Web, Inc. These pages overlap in branding, but they do not establish that every historical Nimbus app or plan is identical to the current FuseBase offering. FuseBase’s product page describes browser extensions for Chrome and Edge, full website-page captures, annotation, blur, upload, and screen recording.
Capture is only one part of the wider suite. FuseBase also describes recording the screen, microphone, and webcam; trimming and cropping video; changing playback speed; adding watermarks; exporting MP4 or GIF; attaching files and text; organizing a library; and collaborating through comments, chats, tasks, dashboards, and real-time editing. Shared links can have password protection and branding options. These capabilities are more relevant when a screenshot is part of an explanation or team workflow than when you simply want an image of a page.
What Capture Pro adds—and what the free limit means
The official Capture Pro order page lists unlimited screenshots, unlimited recording length, LaTeX formula support, watermarks, video trimming and cropping, MP4 and GIF export, and unlimited uploads. It describes a one-account, one-year license billed yearly until canceled, but the page content available here does not show a dollar amount.

FuseBase’s product FAQ says free video recording is limited to five minutes and Pro recording can run up to ten hours. Those figures concern video duration, not the number of screenshots: the available vendor information does not establish a current free screenshot quota. Do not infer a screenshot cap from the five-minute recording limit. The product FAQ is the relevant source for the recording comparison.
When paying makes sense for screenshot-only use
Stay free for occasional captures
If you only need a few captures, first confirm that the free version can capture the whole page, annotate or blur the details you need, and save locally in your preferred format. If it meets those needs, the paid features established here may not solve a real problem. The free screenshot quota is not stated in the available official materials, so check the live product details rather than assuming it is unlimited or capped.

Consider Pro if you repeatedly hit a verified screenshot limit
For frequent full-page work, Pro’s unlimited-screenshot promise could matter if the free tier has a quota below your actual usage. Because that free quota is unverified here, measure your own capture cadence and confirm the current plan terms before paying. Avoid paying based only on a generalized claim that you need “more screenshots”; the decision hinges on an actual limit or feature gap.
Pay for the wider workflow, not just the screenshot button
Capture Pro is easier to justify if you also make instructional recordings, trim them, export them, or share branded material with colleagues or clients. Recording, editing, export, uploads, and collaboration are a broader bundle than most screenshot-only users need. If those features are not part of your work, they should not be counted as value you will use.

How to evaluate the plan before subscribing
- Check screenshot behavior: Confirm whether the free tier supports full-page capture and whether it imposes a screenshot quota relevant to your usage.
- Check editing and saving: Verify that annotation, blur, and local export work in the free version in the formats and workflow you need.
- Separate video needs: Decide whether you need screen, microphone, or webcam recording, then check the current duration and export options. The five-minute free limit is specifically a video limit.
- Review sharing and team features: Consider whether storage, branded or password-protected sharing, and collaboration will be used, rather than treating them as screenshot features.
- Confirm price and billing term at checkout: The official order page describes recurring annual billing until canceled, but the retrieved content does not display the amount. Check the live checkout before purchasing.
- Check the extension listing you will install: Review its current update history and requested permissions in the store for your browser; one browser’s listing does not establish another browser’s maintenance status.
Price evidence: verify before treating a quote as current
G2 lists Pro and Team at $5 per user per month, Combo Pro at $9 per user per month, and Combo Business at $12 per user per month. Those are secondary-listing figures, not a definitive current quote: the G2 page shows an April 9, 2026 update line but also says its pricing data was last updated October 9, 2024. The conflicting freshness dates make the figures unsuitable as confirmed present-day pricing. Check the vendor checkout for the amount and billing terms before subscribing. G2’s pricing listing shows the figures and date labels.
Browser listing caveat
The Mozilla Add-ons entry still named Nimbus Screenshot describes whole-page, selected-section, browser-window, and other-program captures; scrolling; annotation and blur; JPG, PNG, or PDF saving; and sharing to Nimbus Note, Slack, Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Dropbox, with Dropbox marked Premium. It also requests broad browser permissions, including access to tabs and website data. That Firefox listing says version 15.6.9 and a last update of July 31, 2020. Treat this as a Firefox-specific maintenance signal, not evidence about Chrome or Edge. The Firefox add-on listing is where to inspect its current details.
