You can add multiple prerecorded clips to a CameraFi Live broadcast as video sources, then switch between them manually with Source Switcher. To show two video sources on the screen at once, CameraFi’s PIP guide describes a separate workflow. The guides do not document automatic, sequential playlist playback, so adding several clips does not mean they will play one after another on their own.
Add prerecorded videos as sources
- Start your YouTube broadcast. In CameraFi Live, choose a broadcasting mode, select YouTube as the platform, and tap Start. The CameraFi Android beginner guide published December 27, 2024, describes this start flow. CameraFi’s Android beginner guide
- Open the Swipe Menu. On the main screen, swipe from right to left. Depending on the app version, you may need to swipe slightly to reveal the menu.
- Add each clip. Choose Video, tap the plus button, and select a video file from your device gallery. Repeat for each clip you want available during the broadcast. The cited guide does not specify a maximum number of video sources.
The gallery selection and video-source steps are documented in CameraFi’s video-source and PIP manual. Button placement and gestures may differ in newer app versions.
Switch between clips during the broadcast
- Open Source Switcher using its icon in the lower-right area of the screen.
- Tap the video source you want to show. CameraFi’s Source Switcher manual says the selected source becomes the main screen.
- If the panel contains more sources than are visible, swipe upward within the panel to find the others.
Source Switcher is for choosing which source becomes the main scene; it is not documented as an automatic playlist controller. The instructions above follow CameraFi’s Source Switcher manual, published September 7, 2021.
Show two sources together with PIP
If you want two video sources visible at once instead of replacing the main scene, CameraFi’s PIP manual describes this sequence:

- Add a video source from the Swipe Menu.
- Tap that source’s PIP button.
- Swipe right to activate it.
This procedure comes from a manual dated January 7, 2021. CameraFi describes PIP as putting two video sources on one screen, but current labels or gestures may differ. Its documentation does not establish that PIP will play a set of clips sequentially.
What adding multiple videos does—and does not do
- Choose a clip yourself: Add the clips as sources and use Source Switcher when you want a different one to become the main scene.
- Show two sources at once: Use the documented PIP workflow where available.
- Play clips in a timed sequence: The cited CameraFi mobile guides do not document automatic sequential playback or a timed playlist. Do not rely on source selection alone to create one.
CameraFi’s product page lists YouTube as a supported platform and describes video and audio overlays during live streams: CameraFi Live. Availability of some broadcasting modes can vary by platform and operating system; CameraFi’s screen-broadcast note, for example, specifies Android only as of December 20, 2024. That screen-mode qualification is not evidence of a limitation on the camera-mode gallery-video workflow.

Use videos you have permission to stream
Use your own clips or content you have permission to broadcast. CameraFi’s FAQ warns that using someone else’s content in a live video could result in a copyright violation; its warning is conditional, not a claim that every use of third-party content is unlawful. See CameraFi’s FAQ.
Troubleshooting
- The Swipe Menu will not appear: Try a deliberate right-to-left swipe from the main screen. CameraFi’s guides describe the menu as revealed by swiping left; the precise gesture may vary by version.
- A clip is missing from the source list: Confirm that the video is available in the device gallery, then use Video and the plus button to select it. The documented workflow selects files from the gallery.
- You cannot see every added source: Open Source Switcher and swipe its panel upward to reveal sources that are out of view.
- You expected clips to advance automatically: The documented workflow requires you to select a source. The cited guides do not describe automatic sequential playback.
- PIP controls do not match the guide: The detailed PIP instructions date from January 2021. Check the controls in your installed version rather than assuming the old gesture is unchanged.
