Use your browser’s built-in full-page screenshot tool, but first make sure the page’s Hindi fonts have loaded. In Chrome, choose Capture a full size screenshot in Device Mode; in Firefox, enable the full-page screenshot button or run :screenshot --fullpage in the Web Console. These tools capture the page as rendered—they do not repair missing fonts or a site’s CSS.
Before capture: check that Hindi text renders correctly
A screenshot preserves what the browser rendered at capture time. If Devanagari letters appear as boxes, use the wrong font, or have unexpected spacing, diagnose the page before capturing rather than treating the screenshot as the cause.
- Reload the page and open DevTools’ Network panel. Check whether the page’s web-font requests complete successfully.
- In Chrome, inspect an affected text element in Elements > Computed and check which font is actually rendered. Compare it with the font the page is intended to use.
- Check the browser console and Network panel for font-loading errors. A failed web-font request, a CSS
@font-faceproblem, or an unavailable local font can result in a fallback appearance. - After the page looks right, verify Hindi glyphs, conjuncts, matras, and line wrapping at the viewport you plan to capture.
Chrome documents disabling local fonts as a way to check network web-font behavior and verify @font-face rules: Chrome DevTools: Rendering. This is a diagnostic technique, not a fix for a font file that is missing or misconfigured.
Capture an entire webpage in Chrome
- Open the page you want to save and open Chrome DevTools.
- Turn on Device Mode using the device toolbar control.
- Open the Device Mode More options menu.
- Select Capture a full size screenshot. This includes content beyond the visible viewport. Use Capture screenshot instead only when you want the current viewport, not the whole page.
To capture a particular responsive layout, select a device preset or set the viewport dimensions before taking the screenshot. Device Mode also has a device pixel ratio (DPR) setting. The selected viewport and DPR affect the layout and output dimensions, so check those settings rather than assuming a specific image size. Take a full-page screenshot in Firefox
Use the screenshot button
- Open DevTools Settings.
- Under Available Toolbox Buttons, enable Take a screenshot of the entire page.
- Use the screenshot icon. Firefox saves the result to Downloads.
Use the Web Console command
Alternatively, open the Web Console and run:

Firefox’s screenshot helper also supports a filename, delay, clipboard option, and DPR setting. A delay can help when you need to wait for a transient page element, but it does not verify that fonts loaded successfully. Wait for fonts before an automated capture
If a script captures the page before its web fonts finish loading, wait for the browser’s font-loading work before taking the screenshot:

The promise resolves when the document’s fonts and related layout operations have completed. It can help avoid capturing during font loading, but it cannot make a failed download succeed. See MDN: Document.fonts.
If you control the site or its stylesheet, Noto Sans Devanagari is one font specimen you can investigate: Google Fonts: Noto Sans Devanagari. Its availability does not guarantee compatibility with every page, browser, or operating system. Do not treat overriding a third-party site’s styles as a permanent repair.

- Letters show as boxes or fallback characters: Check the rendered font and font requests in DevTools. A screenshot tool will not supply a missing font.
- The capture has different line breaks from the browser view: Check the selected viewport and DPR. A different responsive layout can change wrapping.
- Hindi text changes after the screenshot starts: Wait for fonts with
document.fonts.readywhen using a script, then check the page again before capture. - Only part of the page appears: Use Chrome’s Capture a full size screenshot or Firefox’s entire-page control or
:screenshot --fullpage, rather than a viewport-only capture.
Browser documentation describes the capture workflows, but it does not establish that every Hindi font will render identically across browsers, operating systems, or pages. Verify the actual target page after fonts load.
