Not reliably enough to assume it will. Streamlabs documents Disconnect Protection as showing viewers a “Be Right Back” screen while you reconnect, but its guide does not promise that the app will automatically restore video to YouTube or continue the same live event. After a drop, check YouTube’s stream status rather than relying only on the app’s live indicator.
What Streamlabs Mobile’s recovery features do
Disconnect Protection
Streamlabs’ Mobile Live Streaming Guide says Disconnect Protection is available to Streamlabs Ultra users. If the connection drops, it can display a “Be Right Back” screen while the creator reconnects. That describes a viewer-facing interstitial; it does not establish automatic reconnection, a maximum outage duration, or whether the original YouTube event continues.
Network Boost
The same guide describes Network Boost as using multiple connections to support reliability when Wi-Fi or cellular service is inconsistent. Treat this as a resilience measure, not a guarantee that a stream will survive an outage. An alternate path, such as a portable hotspot, may help only if it supplies a working connection independent of the failed one; Streamlabs does not recommend a particular device or promise continuity.
How to check whether YouTube is receiving your stream
- Restore a working connection. Reconnect your phone to Wi-Fi or cellular service, or switch to an available independent network path.
- Check YouTube Live Control Room. Confirm that YouTube shows the broadcast as live and that its stream health indicates video is arriving. Do not infer YouTube transmission from the Streamlabs app display alone.
- Read YouTube’s status guidance. YouTube says mobile stream status reports the health of the stream being sent from the device and can provide specific errors and instructions. Follow the message shown there.
- If Streamlabs looks live but YouTube is not receiving video, consult Streamlabs’ workaround. In a support article dated January 17, 2026, Streamlabs documented an issue where Disconnect Protection did not connect properly to its servers, so the app could appear live while the selected platform received no stream. The article lists turning off Disconnect Protection or enabling Streamlabs.com Multistreaming as workarounds. Check the current article because the status of an issue or workaround can change.
The published sources do not establish a specific Streamlabs Mobile button sequence for rejoining the same YouTube event. Avoid assuming that reconnecting in the app will preserve the event or its continuity; verify the result in YouTube.

Protect the recording separately from the live connection
YouTube says it can automatically archive live streams shorter than 12 hours, including mobile streams, and recommends keeping a local recording as a backup. An archive may preserve a completed broadcast when available, but it does not restore live video or guarantee that the same event resumes after a network failure. A local recording is a separate safeguard against losing footage.
