If images are missing from an Awesome Screenshot full-page capture, first scroll through the affected parts of the page, wait for the images to appear in the browser, return to the top, and try the full-page capture again. This is a practical troubleshooting step, not a documented or guaranteed Awesome Screenshot fix.
Try loading the images before capturing the full page
- Check the webpage itself. If an image has not appeared in the browser, the screenshot cannot include its rendered image.
- Scroll down through the page, especially the areas where images are missing. Wait for the images to load.
- Return to the top of the page and retry the full-page capture using the workflow for your browser.
Some websites load images only when their area approaches the viewport. Scrolling may prompt those images to load, but site-specific scripts or content that requires interaction can behave differently. Awesome Screenshot’s reviewed help pages do not describe a lazy-loading-specific control or promise that pre-scrolling will fix the result.
Use the official full-page capture control
The control name depends on the browser. Awesome Screenshot’s official instructions give these paths: official scrolling screenshot instructions.
- Chrome, Edge, and compatible browsers: initiate the extension, select Capture, then select Full Page.
- Safari: select Capture Full Page.
- Firefox: select Capture Entire Page.
If full-page capture is unavailable or still incorrect
Full Page is disabled because of a browser restriction
Browser restrictions can prevent the extension from capturing a full page. Awesome Screenshot gives browser-internal pages such as chrome:// pages as examples. Its documented workaround is to choose Visible Part or Entire Screen & App Window, then crop the result. This addresses browser access restrictions; it is not a lazy-loading fix. Full Page is available, but the images are still missing
If the images appear on the webpage but the capture remains wrong, Awesome Screenshot’s help page recommends sending the affected page URL through extension feedback or its website. It does not promise a fix or response time. If you only need one area, wait until its image appears and use Visible Part to capture that section.
