Install FireShot from Microsoft Edge Add-ons, open the page you want, launch FireShot from Edge’s extension controls, choose a full-page capture, then save it as PDF, PNG, or JPEG or copy it to the clipboard. The precise FireShot menu labels can vary; confirm them in the version installed in Edge.
Install FireShot in Edge
- Open the FireShot listing in Microsoft Edge Add-ons and use the store’s install control.
- Complete the prompts shown by Edge. Store and browser prompts can change, so follow the labels currently displayed.
- Open the target webpage in Edge. If FireShot is not immediately visible among the browser controls, check Edge’s extensions control and its current menu for FireShot.
The Edge Add-ons listing identifies getfireshot.com as the publisher and describes FireShot as usable offline. Its listing does not provide a complete, current Edge installation walkthrough or establish exact extension-menu labels.
Capture a complete webpage
- Navigate to the webpage and wait for the content you need to appear.
- Open FireShot from Edge’s extension controls.
- Choose the full-page capture option. The exact wording may differ in your installed version; the Edge Add-ons listing advertises full-page capture as well as visible-area and selected-area capture.
- When the capture is ready, choose an available output action: save as PDF, PNG, or JPEG, or copy the capture to the clipboard. Verify the specific controls in your installed version.
A full-page screenshot is useful when content extends below the visible window. Use a visible-area capture for just what is currently on screen, or a selected-area capture when you only need part of the page.
Choose the right FireShot capture and output
- Full page: Captures content beyond the current viewport.
- Visible area: Captures the portion currently shown on screen.
- Selected area: Captures a region you specify.
- PDF: Choose this when you need a document-style saved copy.
- PNG or JPEG: Choose an image format for a screenshot file.
- Clipboard: Copy the capture for pasting into another application.
Microsoft Edge Add-ons describes editing, printing, saving all tabs to PDF in one click, and exporting to OneNote as FireShot Pro features. Check the current listing and installed version for availability and packaging, which may change.

Use Edge’s built-in Screenshot instead
For a capture without installing FireShot, Microsoft Edge has a built-in Screenshot feature. Microsoft documents opening it from a webpage’s right-click menu, from Edge Settings, or with Ctrl+Shift+S. It supports full-page or selected-area capture, markup, and copying or saving the result. Microsoft notes that availability and functionality can vary by device, market, and browser version. See Microsoft’s Edge Screenshot information.
Choose based on the operation and output you need: FireShot’s listing specifically describes PDF, PNG, and JPEG saving, clipboard copying, offline use, and optional Pro features; Edge’s built-in tool offers full-page and selected-area capture with markup and copy/save controls. Neither is universally the better choice.

FireShot is not visible in Edge
Open Edge’s extensions control and look for FireShot in its menu. If it is not installed, return to the Microsoft Edge Add-ons listing and complete the current installation prompts.

The capture only shows the visible screen
Reopen FireShot and select its full-page capture choice rather than visible-area capture. Menu wording depends on the installed version.
The saved file is not the format you expected
Check the output action offered after capture and explicitly select PDF, PNG, or JPEG as needed. The listing describes those formats, but controls in the installed version should be verified.

Edge’s Screenshot shortcut does not open the tool
Try the webpage’s right-click menu or Edge Settings instead. Microsoft says feature availability and functionality can vary by device, market, and browser version.
