GoFullPage lets you choose an export format in the extension’s Options page, but its documented settings do not include a numeric image-quality slider or a guaranteed file-size reduction. To make an image file smaller, compare JPEG and PNG exports of the same capture; to make a PDF one continuous page, choose “full image” for PDF Size.
Change GoFullPage’s export format or PDF size
- Open the GoFullPage extension’s Options page.
- Choose the image format or PDF size you want. GoFullPage’s getting-started guide identifies these, along with the save-as dialog, as Options-page settings: What is GoFullPage?. The guide was published October 18, 2020, so the exact labels or placement may have changed.
- Capture the webpage.
- On the capture result page, select Download image or Download PDF.

Choose an image format based on size and quality
PNG is appropriate when preserving lossless image data matters. JPEG is a compressed image format and may produce a smaller file, but the amount depends on the particular capture. The cited GoFullPage sources do not document a numeric JPEG quality control, compression level, or expected byte savings. Compare both formats using the same page and inspect the resulting file sizes rather than assuming a particular reduction.
What if you cannot find a quality slider?
The official sources cited here document format selection, not a quality slider or a numeric quality setting. If the current Options page offers only format choices, select JPEG or PNG as appropriate; do not expect an undocumented slider or a guaranteed file-size result.

Save a GoFullPage capture as one continuous PDF page
In the extension’s Options page, set PDF Size to full image, then capture the page and use Download PDF on the result page. GoFullPage’s FAQ identifies “full image” as the setting for a single-page PDF: GoFullPage FAQ.
This setting changes PDF page layout; it is not documented as a compression option. Choose it when you want one continuous page, not as a way to make the PDF file smaller. Standard paper-sized pages may be more practical for printing.

Account for very long pages
GoFullPage captures a page by scrolling through its visible sections. Its Chrome Web Store listing notes that very large pages may be split into images in separate tabs because Chrome may not be able to store them as one image. If an unusually long capture does not appear as one image, check for additional result tabs before concluding that part of the page is missing.

Does “full image” PDF size make a PDF smaller?
No such compression effect is documented. The setting is described as making the PDF a single continuous page.
