To capture a page with GoFullPage when it loads content as you scroll, open the page, dismiss any pop-ups or information bars, scroll from top to bottom to trigger deferred content, and give that content time to appear. Then start GoFullPage and check the resulting image for missing sections. This preparation improves the chance of a complete capture, but it cannot guarantee one: pages that use custom JavaScript to control scrolling may not work properly.
Prepare the page before capturing it
- Open the page you want to capture in your browser.
- Dismiss information bars and pop-ups. These can obscure content in the capture.
- Scroll through the page yourself, including to the bottom, to prompt content that loads on demand to appear.
- Wait for the content to finish loading. Check for images, text, or sections that appear after a delay.
- Start GoFullPage from the browser toolbar after the page is ready.
This is the preparation recommended in the GoFullPage FAQ. It is particularly useful for pages that defer images or sections until they approach the visible area.
How GoFullPage captures a scrolling page
GoFullPage scrolls down and across the page in the browser, captures successive views, and assembles them into one image that opens in a new tab. You can download the result or export it as a PDF in a chosen page size. The Chrome Web Store listing also describes PNG, JPG, and PDF exports.
Because the extension captures a sequence of views, the page’s behavior while scrolling matters. If the page changes its layout, loads content late, or uses custom JavaScript scrolling, parts of the assembled result may be missing or duplicated. Inspect the output rather than assuming that a completed capture means every element was included.

Check the capture and choose an export
- When the result opens in a new tab, scroll through the assembled image and look for missing, repeated, or cut-off content.
- If the image is incomplete, return to the original page, trigger the missing content by scrolling, wait for it to load, and capture again.
- Download the image or export a PDF. The available export formats depend on the listing and version you installed; the Chrome Web Store listing describes PNG, JPG, and PDF.
Use the keyboard shortcut if needed
The GoFullPage FAQ lists Alt+Shift+P as a capture shortcut. Browser extension settings let you manage extension shortcuts. A keyboard-triggered capture will not preserve a hover state while the extension scrolls, so move the pointer away from hover-dependent controls or use a capture method that does not need that state.
Why a capture can be incomplete
Images or sections are missing
The page may not have loaded deferred content before capture began. Scroll through the page first and allow the content to appear, then capture again. If a section still does not show up, the page may be changing as GoFullPage scrolls through it.

The page does not scroll during capture
Some sites use custom JavaScript to manage scrolling, which can prevent GoFullPage from capturing properly. The FAQ suggests contacting support if you receive an error. There is no documented preparation step that guarantees success on these pages.
The page contains an embedded PDF
The GoFullPage FAQ identifies PDFs as a limitation: the extension cannot access a PDF document for scrolling. A browser-rendered webpage and a PDF opened in a viewer are not the same capture target.

Fixed elements or inner scroll areas look wrong
GoFullPage attempts to handle fixed elements and inner scrollable areas, but the FAQ cautions that some pages still fail. Review the assembled image for repeated fixed elements or content inside a nested scrolling region that was not captured as expected.
Check the current browser listing
Availability can change. GoFullPage’s homepage announced a Firefox Add-ons release on September 7, 2026, and said the website was temporarily pointing to a GoFullPage BETA Chrome extension. Before installing, confirm the current listing for your browser on the official GoFullPage homepage or the relevant browser store. The current Chrome listings include GoFullPage and GoFullPage BETA; verify which one the official site currently directs you to.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can GoFullPage guarantee that every lazy-loaded image will appear?
No. Scrolling through the page and waiting for content to load is recommended preparation, but pages with custom scrolling behavior can still fail.
Can I capture a hover menu with the keyboard shortcut?
