GoFullPage supports PNG and JPG downloads, and its image-format setting is in the extension’s Options. You can download an unedited image with the free version.
Save a GoFullPage capture as a PNG or JPEG
- Capture the webpage with GoFullPage. The extension scrolls through the page and assembles the sections into a capture that opens in a new tab.
- If you need a particular format, open GoFullPage’s Options and check the image-format setting. GoFullPage’s documentation confirms that this setting exists, but the exact menu sequence and current label may vary.
- In the capture view, select the image download action. An official 2021 walkthrough also documents right-clicking and choosing Save Image As…, or using Ctrl+S on Windows or Cmd+S on Mac. If those options do not appear in your current interface, use its visible download control.
- If your browser asks for Downloads permission, allow it so GoFullPage can save the image.
GoFullPage advertises PNG and JPG image downloads. It calls the latter “JPG”; JPEG is the same image format commonly written with the .jpg or .jpeg file extension. The free version supports downloading an unedited screenshot as an image.
Choose the format and understand the preview
PNG or JPG
Set the preferred image format in GoFullPage’s Options before exporting. If you do not see the expected file type, check that setting and try the image download again. The vendor’s materials confirm the setting but do not establish a current, universal sequence of buttons to reach it.
Small preview, full-resolution file
A long capture may appear tiny because the preview is zoomed out. GoFullPage says clicking the preview toggles zoom and that the downloaded image remains full resolution.

When Premium is—and is not—needed
You do not need Premium for a plain image export: GoFullPage says its free version can download screenshots as images or PDFs. Premium matters if you edit or annotate a screenshot and want to download the edited result.
Fix common export problems
The download control does not save a file
Check whether your browser has granted GoFullPage the Downloads permission. According to GoFullPage’s permissions guidance, copying an image can still work without that permission, but the extension’s save or download controls require it.

The capture is blank or split into multiple images
Very large pages can exceed the browser’s ability to form one image. GoFullPage says a capture may be blank or split into multiple images; the resulting images can be viewed and downloaded. It also cautions that a very large set—10 or more images—may not complete.
The page content is missing or incomplete
Before capturing, close pop-ups and information bars, scroll through the page, and allow content to load. GoFullPage recommends these steps in its FAQ. They can help with content that appears only after scrolling or loading, though they cannot guarantee that every site will capture successfully.

The target is a PDF displayed in the browser
GoFullPage says it cannot access PDF documents to scroll and capture them as it does an ordinary webpage. Its page-capture workflow is intended for webpages, not browser PDF documents.
