Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteYou can do this only if your specific Android TV box and apps can both play the podcast files in a repeating playlist and send that continuous feed through a YouTube-compatible encoder. YouTube’s documented Android mobile flow is for camera streaming, not prerecorded-file playout, and its encoder guide does not specify an Android TV archive-loop app. Confirm those two capabilities on your exact device before relying on it for a live channel.
What an Android TV box must do
The job has two separate parts: playout and publishing. The box must select and continuously repeat the archive files, then an encoder must transmit the resulting audio/video feed to YouTube. A box that can play a podcast file does not necessarily provide either playlist looping or a compatible encoder feed.
- Playlist playout: Identify an app and source that can queue your files in the intended order and repeat the playlist without stopping between episodes.
- Encoder feed: Confirm that the box can provide a continuous feed to a YouTube-compatible encoder. YouTube’s encoder instructions use a server URL and stream key; they do not identify a general Android TV app for looping local archives. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- Reliable operation: Check that the device can stay awake, maintain its network connection, and resume or recover after an app, power, or network interruption. The sources here do not verify these behaviors for any particular box model.
Record the box’s exact model, Android version, archive location, playlist app, and proposed encoder before setup. Without those details, compatibility cannot be confirmed.
Why YouTube’s Android mobile flow is not a verified archive-loop method
Google’s Android Mobile Live documentation describes a camera-oriented flow. Its stated requirements include a camera, microphone, hardware audio/video encoders, Android Marshmallow (API 23) or later, and YouTube app version 13.02 or later. These requirements do not establish that an Android TV box can select local podcast files, loop them, and publish them as a live feed. Google’s Android Live documentation

YouTube lists Larix Broadcaster as an Android mobile encoder, but the reviewed Larix documentation and YouTube material do not document local podcast-file selection, playlist sequencing, and continuous looping. Its appearance in an encoder list is not proof that it meets the archive-playout requirement.
Set up the Android TV approach, if your exact configuration supports it
- Verify live access first. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Check the channel’s access before configuring a box. YouTube live-streaming tips
- Prove the playlist behavior locally. Load the podcast files into the chosen player and verify that it plays them in the right order, advances between files, and repeats the playlist. Test long enough to catch gaps, silence, or an end-of-list stop.
- Confirm the encoder path. Establish which app or encoder takes the player’s output and can transmit it to YouTube. Do not assume that a media player is also an encoder, or that an encoder can access the player’s local files.
- Create the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio, create a live stream and configure its title, description, and privacy. Copy the server/stream URL and stream key into the encoder. YouTube’s guide says to start the encoder, inspect the preview in Live Control Room, and stop sending content to end the stream. Encoder setup instructions
- Keep the key private. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send content to that stream. Do not display it on screen or share it publicly.
- Check the preview before going public. Confirm that the live feed contains the intended program audio and picture, and that it advances and loops as expected. Monitor it after starting; the cited guidance does not establish interruption recovery for an Android TV box.
- Plan how the session ends. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That is not an indefinite-session guarantee: plan a deliberate stop and restart if you need continued programming beyond a session. YouTube encoder guide
Rights and monetization checks for a podcast archive
Confirm permission for live rebroadcast
Having a podcast file does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it as a public live stream. YouTube’s live-stream terms require the necessary rights for the live content, including applicable music licensing rights. Review the YouTube live-stream terms and confirm that your permissions cover public live use of the episodes, music, clips, guest contributions, and other included material.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches; a stream may be interrupted or terminated. Even if you have a licence, a rights owner may need to allowlist your channel for the material to remain live. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
Do not assume repetition qualifies for monetization
YouTube’s inauthentic-content policy covers repetitive or mass-produced content and applies to live streams. Replaying an archive indefinitely does not guarantee monetization or channel eligibility; assess the channel and programming against the YouTube channel monetization policies.

Common problems and what to check
- The box plays episodes but the YouTube preview is blank: The player may not be feeding a compatible encoder. Verify the full path from file playback to encoder input; local playback alone does not publish a live feed.
- The stream starts but stops at the end of an episode or playlist: Check the player’s repeat setting and whether it repeats the whole playlist rather than one file. Test transitions locally before going live.
- The encoder connects but YouTube does not show the expected program: Recheck the stream URL and key in the encoder, then inspect the Live Control Room preview before making the stream public.
- The live stream is interrupted or terminated: Check YouTube’s live copyright guidance and the rights status of every included recording. A licence alone may not prevent a match interruption if channel allowlisting is required.
- The channel cannot start a live stream: Verify the channel and check for a live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days, as described in YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
- The live session ends and the archive is missing: YouTube’s automatic archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours. Check the session length and the stream’s status; do not treat a single session as an indefinitely continuous archive.
