Its manufacturer lists a configuration with 16 GB of memory and a 500 GB SSD, and Intel lists Quick Sync Video support for the N100. Neither specification establishes how reliably the complete PC will run your OBS scene around the clock.
If your channel only needs to loop videos you have already uploaded, a cloud-looping service may avoid leaving a computer running at home. If you need a live camera, capture device, or complex OBS scene, you need a local production setup capable of handling that workload.

Beelink Mini S12 Pro with Intel N100
The Beelink Mini S12 Pro is the specific low-cost model supported by the available product information. Beelink lists an N100 configuration with 16 GB DDR4, a 500 GB SSD, gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 6, and a CPU fan and heat sink it describes as ultra-quiet. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent performance or reliability results. Intel’s N100 specification lists four cores and four threads, turbo frequency up to 3.40 GHz, Intel UHD Graphics with 24 execution units, Quick Sync Video, a 6 W TDP, and maximum memory of 16 GB. The advertised Beelink 16 GB configuration matches that stated processor limit. The 6 W figure is the processor’s TDP, not the mini PC’s measured wall-power draw; it cannot be used by itself to estimate electricity cost or prove long-term reliability. Accordingly, treat this as a candidate for a simple stream that you can test with your actual video, settings, and network—not as a guaranteed choice for unattended broadcasting. No independent extended test establishes that this model, or another named mini PC, can sustain a 24/7 OBS stream.
What kind of stream are you running?
Looping prerecorded video
A static loop of a finished ambience video can be a lighter OBS workload than a production with several browser sources, filters, capture devices, and simultaneous local recording. It still needs testing: the output resolution and frame rate, encoder, audio, scene, drivers, cooling, and internet connection all affect the result.

Camera, capture device, or complex OBS scene
A live camera feed or production with multiple sources requires a local computer or another live encoder to process that production. Do not choose a PC based only on the processor name or the claim that it is compatible with OBS. The OBS Project says, “Having a compatible system does not guarantee that it is capable of streaming or recording using OBS Studio,” and notes that CPU requirements vary with encoder, resolution, FPS, and scene complexity. Review the OBS Studio system requirements for context, then validate your complete setup.
Check the requirements before buying
- Encoder support: Confirm that Quick Sync is available in your operating system, installed drivers, and OBS version. Intel lists the capability for the N100, but that does not guarantee it will work as expected in your particular setup.
- Output and scene: Decide on resolution and frame rate, then account for overlays, filters, browser sources, capture devices, audio processing, and local recording. More production work can change what the PC must handle.
- Internet connection: Prefer a wired connection where practical and check that upload capacity can support the selected stream settings. YouTube recommends testing the connection and the real stream workload.
- Cooling and placement: Consider the airflow, ambient conditions, and fan noise where the mini PC will operate. A manufacturer’s “ultra-quiet” description is not an independent noise or continuous-load test.
- Recovery: Decide how the setup will behave after a Windows or OBS restart, network interruption, or power loss. Test restart and reconnect behavior rather than assuming unattended recovery.
- Total cost and power: Verify the regional bundle, warranty, and actual wall-power draw under your workload. A processor TDP is not a whole-system measurement, so do not use it alone to calculate monthly electricity expense.
Set OBS and YouTube for a representative test
- Choose the target output first. Set the resolution and frame rate you intend to broadcast. Keep the first test simple: the actual ambience video, audio, and essential overlays, without extra sources you do not need.
- Select a supported encoder and codec. YouTube’s live encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, with support up to 60 fps. Confirm the encoder and codec choices available in your OBS and operating-system setup; do not assume the N100’s Quick Sync capability proves a particular configuration works.
- Set bitrate and rate control for the target. YouTube recommends CBR. Its current guidance lists 17 Mbps for 1080p at 60 fps using H.264; this is a recommendation for that specific resolution, frame rate, and codec, not a universal setting. Check YouTube’s current table for your chosen output and available upload capacity.
- Set keyframes and transport. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe frequency and says not to exceed four seconds. Its guidance also recommends RTMPS. Apply the appropriate settings in OBS and use the stream key from YouTube Studio without sharing it publicly.
- Test with realistic motion and sound. Start an unlisted or otherwise appropriate test broadcast and include audio and video movement similar to the intended stream. YouTube says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” Watch stream health and OBS performance messages during the test.
- Extend the test and check recovery. Run the actual scene for an extended period, then test how it behaves after a planned restart and a network interruption. A brief successful test is useful, but it does not prove months of uninterrupted operation.
Use YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions as the reference for current codec and output guidance; settings can change, so check the table for your specific stream.

Copyright and channel suitability still matter
A 24/7 broadcast does not make a video safe to use. Stream only ambience footage, music, and other material that you own or have permission to use for this purpose. Review YouTube’s applicable copyright requirements and channel policies before building a long-running stream, especially if your video uses licensed music, reused footage, or material from other creators.
Keep the content and stream settings consistent with the rights you hold. OBS and a mini PC handle production; they do not grant permission to broadcast material or determine whether a channel meets YouTube’s monetization rules.
