To capture a website in a Galaxy S24-like layout from a computer, use Chrome DevTools’ Device Toolbar, select a suitable mobile profile or configure a custom viewport, then choose More options > Capture screenshot or Capture a full size screenshot. The Galaxy S24’s 2340 × 1080 panel specification is a hardware resolution, not a verified browser CSS viewport size, so entering those numbers in DevTools does not by itself reproduce the S24’s responsive layout.
Choose the right kind of screenshot
There are two useful approaches, depending on what you need to show:

Use DevTools when you are preparing a responsive-design screenshot from a computer. Use Scroll Capture when you want a long image of a page open on the Galaxy phone itself.
Why the S24’s screen resolution is not its browser viewport
Samsung lists the Galaxy S24 display as 6.2-inch FHD+ (2340 × 1080). That describes the panel’s physical pixel grid. A browser lays out a website using CSS-pixel viewport dimensions, which are not necessarily the same as the panel’s pixel dimensions. The official sources cited for this guide do not establish one universal S24 CSS viewport value for every browser, orientation, display setting and interface state.

Consequently, do not treat 1080 × 2340 in portrait mode as a guaranteed S24 browser-layout setting. If an exact viewport matters, verify it on the actual phone or use a device profile whose dimensions are verified for the browser configuration you are targeting.
Capture a website in Chrome DevTools
- Open the website in desktop Chrome, then open DevTools.
- Turn on the Device Toolbar. Select a mobile profile if a suitable one is available in your Chrome installation. To define one, use the device controls to add a custom mobile device and enter its name, width and height.
- Set the desired orientation. Where relevant, set the emulated device type to mobile.
- Choose dimensions that match the browser configuration you intend to represent. Do not derive CSS viewport dimensions from the S24 panel resolution alone.
- Load or refresh the page after changing the device profile, then inspect its responsive layout.
- In the Device Toolbar, open More options and choose Capture screenshot for the currently visible viewport, or Capture a full size screenshot to include page content beyond it.
A viewport screenshot represents the visible emulated browser area. A full-size screenshot extends beyond that area to capture the page. Choose based on whether you need to show one screen or the whole page.
Take a long screenshot on the Galaxy S24
- On the phone, open Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder, then turn on Show toolbar after capturing.
- Open the webpage and press Power + Volume Down together.
- When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap Scroll Capture to extend the screenshot down the page. Tap again, or press and hold the Scroll Capture icon to continue farther.
- Tap outside the toolbar to finish and save the image.
Samsung says the saved capture is automatically resized and saved to Gallery, and that the available scroll length depends on the content. This captures the page as rendered in the phone session; it is not a way to configure a desktop viewport.

Keep Samsung Internet’s desktop-site option separate
In Samsung Internet, More > Desktop version requests desktop content from a website. It is a page-content or browser-mode choice, not a control for setting a phone-sized responsive viewport. Similarly, changing a user agent and setting a viewport are separate emulation choices; changing only the user agent does not guarantee behavior identical to a physical phone.
If fidelity to Samsung Internet on an S24 is important, use emulation as a convenient first check and validate the result in the target phone and browser. Samsung’s testing guidance describes Chrome developer tools or user-agent testing, but those settings should not be conflated with the actual handset’s complete behavior. Samsung DeX is another distinct scenario: its desktop-style browsing window is not the ordinary phone-screen layout covered here.

Troubleshooting
The emulated page does not look like the S24
Check that you selected a mobile device type and the intended orientation, then verify the viewport dimensions against the actual browser configuration you need to match. The 2340 × 1080 panel specification is not sufficient to establish CSS viewport dimensions.

The screenshot only contains what is visible
That is the expected result from Capture screenshot. For content below the viewport, choose More options > Capture a full size screenshot. On the phone, use Scroll Capture after taking the initial screenshot.
The Scroll Capture control is missing
Enable Show toolbar after capturing under Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder, then take a new screenshot with Power + Volume Down. Scroll Capture is intended for scrollable content, and the length it can capture varies with that content.

Continue tapping or press and hold the Scroll Capture icon while the toolbar is available. Samsung notes that the scroll length depends on the content, so one capture may not extend through every page.

The site shows desktop content instead of a responsive phone layout
Check whether Samsung Internet’s More > Desktop version option is enabled. That setting requests PC content; it does not define the viewport size.

Does 2340 × 1080 mean the Galaxy S24 browser viewport is 1080 × 2340 in portrait?
No. It is the reported panel resolution, not an established CSS-pixel viewport measurement.
Can I capture a full webpage instead of only the visible screen?
Yes. In desktop Chrome use Capture a full size screenshot; on the phone, use Samsung’s Scroll Capture toolbar control.
