To save a PDF copy of a DigiLocker page, open it in a browser, choose Print, select Save as PDF (or the equivalent PDF destination), review the preview and save. That creates a print-layout copy of the page—not the official document shown on it. If you need the actual document fetched from an issuer, download it from DigiLocker’s Issued section instead.
Choose the right kind of PDF
DigiLocker is a government digital document wallet for accessing, storing, sharing and verifying documents. Its workflow includes registering, verifying and fetching documents. A record fetched from an issuer is an issued document; a file you add yourself is an uploaded document. The terms’ legal-equivalence statement applies to issued or shared DigiLocker documents, not to a browser printout or a file you uploaded yourself. Save a DigiLocker webpage as a PDF in a browser
- Open the DigiLocker page you want to keep and wait for the text or sections you need to appear.
- Open the browser’s Print command. It is commonly in the browser menu; keyboard shortcuts vary by operating system.
- In the printer or destination selector, choose Save as PDF or the equivalent PDF destination offered by your browser or device.
- Check the print preview and page range. Save the file to a folder you can find again.
- Open the saved PDF and confirm that the required text and page sections are present.
This is a general browser print workflow, not a DigiLocker-specific export control. Browser labels and available destinations differ by computer, operating system and browser. Download the actual issued document from DigiLocker
- Sign in to DigiLocker.
- Find the issuing organisation and the document type. Fetch the document if it is not already in your account.
- Open Issued and select the fetched record.
- Use the document’s download control if one is available, and keep that downloaded record when you need the issuer-provided document.
DigiLocker describes fetching as a core step, and its FAQ explains that fetched records appear in Issued. The available controls may differ by document and current interface. Save a DigiLocker page from a phone
Mobile browser and operating-system menus are not uniform, so there is no single reliable menu path for every phone. In the browser displaying the page, look for a Print or share-to-print option and choose a PDF destination if the device offers one. If no PDF destination appears, use a computer browser or download the actual issued document from DigiLocker. Do not assume the DigiLocker app can export any arbitrary page as a PDF.

When a page or download does not work
- The PDF is missing text or sections: Wait for the page content to load, check the print preview and page range, then save again. A browser printout may not preserve interactive elements or match the screen exactly.
- You see no Save as PDF option: Check the print or share-to-print destination choices available on that browser and device. If none is offered, try a computer browser or retrieve the issued document through DigiLocker.
- You cannot find the document in Issued: Check that you selected the right issuer and document type, then fetch the record if it has not yet been added to the account.
- There is no download control for the record: Availability can depend on the document and current DigiLocker controls. Contact DigiLocker Support rather than sending the record to an unverified third-party converter. The support portal lists online query submission and helpdesk@negd.in.
