Save or copy the result and check it: Edge’s full-page capture can include content beyond the viewport, but Microsoft does not say it will trigger every site’s infinite-scroll loading or preserve content a page has removed from its rendered document.
Why infinite-scroll pages can be incomplete
Edge’s Screenshot tool captures a page beyond the visible screen. Infinite-scroll pages work differently from ordinary long pages: they may fetch more content only after you scroll near the bottom. Some also replace earlier items as you move down, rather than keeping every item in the document at once. Microsoft’s guidance describes full-page capture, but does not promise that Edge will scroll through a page to load every item or capture content that is no longer rendered.
That makes the reliable approach a two-stage, best-effort workflow: trigger loading by scrolling first, then capture and inspect the result. The exact outcome can depend on the site and on Edge availability or behavior, which Microsoft says may vary by device, market, and browser version.
Capture the page with Edge Screenshot
- Open the page in Edge. If the site requires a sign-in or has a consent prompt, handle that first.
- Scroll through the content you need. Move down in stretches, pausing after each one for new items to appear and finish loading. If you need the whole feed, continue until the site stops adding content or reaches its natural end. This is a practical way to prompt scroll-triggered loading, not a guarantee that every site will retain all earlier items.
- Open Screenshot. Press Ctrl+Shift+S, then choose Capture full page. Microsoft also describes access through the right-click menu or Edge’s Settings menu; those routes may vary with device, market, and browser version.
- Save or copy the capture. Use the controls in the Screenshot overlay. Microsoft documents both saving and copying screenshots.
- Inspect the whole result. Check the beginning, middle, and end for missing sections, repeated sticky headers, blank gaps, or an unexpected stopping point. If completeness matters, verify that the items you deliberately loaded are present.
Microsoft describes Capture full page as grabbing content beyond the visible screen without requiring scrolling during capture. That refers to the capture operation; it should not be read as a promise that Edge will perform the earlier scrolling needed to make an infinite feed load.

If Edge’s capture misses content
Try DevTools’ full-size screenshot
For an advanced alternative, open Edge DevTools, switch to Device Mode, and use its screenshot controls to choose Capture a full size screenshot. Microsoft documents this command as capturing the page at full size, including content outside the viewport. It captures what the page has rendered; the documentation does not say it will load items that have not yet appeared.
Capture overlapping sections or use the site’s export
If a particular page still omits items, scroll to the relevant sections and capture several screenshots with overlap so the transition between them is visible. If the site offers its own export or print option, try it when you need the underlying content rather than a visual record. Check the resulting file to make sure it preserves the information and layout you need.

Edge Screenshot and DevTools compared
| Option | How to open it | What it captures | Infinite-scroll limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Edge Screenshot | Press Ctrl+Shift+S and select Capture full page | Full-page content beyond the visible viewport | Microsoft does not document automatic loading of every scroll-triggered item or capture of content removed from the rendered page. |
| DevTools full-size screenshot | Open DevTools, enter Device Mode, then select Capture a full size screenshot from its screenshot controls | The page’s full size as rendered | Microsoft’s documentation does not promise that the command loads content that has not been rendered. |
Or skip the browser setup
For a screenshot API alternative, ScreenshotNeo takes a screenshot with a GET request. Its clean-shot steps accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. A screenshot API does not establish that every infinite-scroll site will load all its items automatically, so inspect the result when completeness matters.
Use an access key from your account and replace the example URL with the page you want to capture. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.

Can Edge capture an infinite-scroll feed all the way to its end in one shot?
Not reliably on the evidence Microsoft publishes: its guidance does not establish that Capture full page triggers every site’s scroll-dependent loading or retains virtualized items.
