In Firefox, open the page, choose Menu → Print…, select Save to PDF under Destination, review the preview and settings, then click Print. This is Mozilla’s documented Firefox desktop workflow; it is not specific to Windows 11. Mozilla’s print guidance explains the available options.
Save the page as a PDF

Open the website page you want to save in Firefox.

Open the Firefox menu and choose Print…. Firefox opens a print preview.

In Destination, select Save to PDF.

Check the preview and adjust the settings you need. You can change the orientation or page range in the preview; open More settings for additional print options.

Click Print to save the preview as a PDF. If Firefox or Windows asks where to save it, choose a location and a recognizable filename.

Choose settings before saving
The preview settings affect the PDF you save. Under More settings, Firefox documents options for paper size, scale, pages per sheet, margins, format, headers and footers, and printing backgrounds. Which controls are available can depend on the page or destination.

Orientation: Use portrait for most text pages; landscape may fit wide tables or diagrams better.

Headers, footers, and backgrounds: Change these when the printed layout should omit browser-added details or retain page colors and images.

Simplified format: Firefox may offer this for some pages. It cannot be combined with print backgrounds, and it is not available for every page.

Check the preview when the PDF looks different
A webpage may print differently from how it appears on screen. Mozilla cautions: “Web pages can set themselves up to appear different on paper to how they look on screen, so don’t be surprised if you see some changes.” Review the preview before saving; if the layout is wrong, try a different orientation, scale, margin, page range, or format.
For a less cluttered printout, use Simplified format if Firefox offers it for that page. Mozilla describes simplified printing separately in its simplified printing instructions.

Print to PDF is not the same as Save Page As
Use Print… → Save to PDF when you want a PDF document. Firefox’s Save Page As command is for saving a webpage in formats such as web page complete, HTML only, text files, or all files; it is a different task.
If Save to PDF is unavailable
Firefox’s documented route is the built-in Save to PDF destination, so a separate physical printer is not required for the basic workflow. If that destination is missing, an archived 2019 Mozilla forum response suggested choosing Microsoft Print to PDF as a Windows alternative, if it appears in the destination list. That is older volunteer guidance, not Mozilla’s current primary workflow.
