To save an RBI circular as a PDF, open the exact circular, confirm its title, date, reference and issuing department, then use your browser’s print dialog and choose its PDF destination. Preview the pages before saving and reopen the file to check that the important text is present and readable. If the RBI page offers its own downloadable file, consider preserving that version instead—especially when its layout matters.
1. Identify the right RBI circular
Before saving anything, verify that the page is the circular you need. Check its displayed title, date, circular or notification reference, and issuing department. These details help distinguish it from similarly titled material and make the saved record easier to identify later.
2. Save the webpage as a PDF

Open the circular on the official RBI website and confirm its identifying details.

Open your browser’s print function and select a PDF destination if one is available. Menu names and locations vary by browser; no single browser or version is assumed here.

Inspect the print preview before saving. Look for missing text, awkward page breaks, clipped tables, or navigation elements that make the document harder to read.

Save the PDF, then reopen it and verify that the heading, date, reference and required content appear clearly.

Name the file so it can be recognized later—for example, using the circular’s subject and reference or date.
This method creates a digital copy from the webpage. A printer, scanner, storage device or paid service is not required to make the PDF.

3. Check for an RBI-provided file
Some RBI pages may offer a separate downloadable version. If the particular circular page provides one, you can preserve that file directly; check that it opens and matches the circular you intend to file. This can be preferable when maintaining the document’s layout is important.
For example, the RBI page for Master Circular on Customer Service in banks, dated July 1, 2009, states: “Note : To obtain an aligned printout please download the (699.00 kb ) version to your machine and then use respective software to print the story.” That is an instruction on that specific page, not a guarantee that every RBI circular has a downloadable version or the same printing guidance. 4. Keep the source traceable
Retain the official RBI page URL with the PDF, and record the retrieval date according to your office’s filing practice. A saved PDF is a record copy; consult the official page again if you need to check for a later update or correction.
