First check that the Punjabi playlist is playing and audible, then confirm its sound is selected, unmuted, and enabled in the encoder. The playlist’s language is not identified as a cause of this warning.
What the warning means
The message points to the incoming encoded stream, not to the Punjabi language or genre of the playlist. YouTube says the ingestion stream contains no audio stream; its guidance also calls for one audio stream and warns that multiple audio streams can cause ingestion problems. See YouTube’s live streaming error messages.
Find where the sound disappears by checking the playlist, encoder output, any local recording (archive), and the Live Control Room preview in that order. These checks narrow down the fault; the warning alone does not identify which device, setting, or connection caused it.
Work through the checks in order
- Confirm the playlist itself is audible. Play it locally and check that playback is underway and the intended output device is selected. If there is no sound before encoding, investigate the player, output device, or playlist playback first.
- Check the encoder’s audio source and controls. Select the source that carries the playlist audio, make sure it is not muted, and confirm audio is enabled. Some encoders have a separate audio checkbox. Check the routed sources as well as the encoder’s own audio meters or monitoring.
- Listen to the encoder output and inspect a local archive. YouTube recommends checking the stream directly in the encoder, routed audio/video sources, encoder errors, CPU load, and any local recording. If both the encoder output and archive are silent, look upstream of or within encoding. If they contain sound but the YouTube preview does not, compare the outgoing configuration and ingestion status. Neither result by itself proves a particular cause. - Check audio track count and format. For RTMP/RTMPS ingestion, YouTube lists AAC or MP3 audio and advises using one audio stream. Verify the format and track selection in the encoder; the recommended settings are below. YouTube’s settings may differ for another protocol or stream type.
- Wait for and listen to the Live Control Room preview. YouTube’s encoder workflow says to wait for the preview before starting the live stream. Confirm the sound there after changing settings, then keep monitoring audio and video during the event. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup steps.
- If local output is healthy, check the connection and encoder. Update the encoder, then investigate the outbound internet connection if the stream looks and sounds healthy inside the encoder but not at YouTube. If checks of the source and encoder do not locate the problem, trying another encoder may help isolate it; the warning does not establish that paid software is needed.
Audio settings to verify
For RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube lists AAC or MP3. Its published recommendations are:

YouTube lists 5.1 surround support only for AAC. These are YouTube recommendations, not guarantees that a particular encoder configuration will resolve a missing track. Check YouTube’s live encoder settings and the settings for your specific encoder and stream type.
Distinguish a missing track from a copyright interruption
A copyright interruption is a separate issue from an encoder sending no audio. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may replace the stream with a placeholder or interrupt or terminate it if matched content remains. Check YouTube Studio for a copyright notice rather than assuming copyright caused the no-audio warning. If you have rights to the playlist, YouTube says to ask the rights owner to allowlist your channel through Content ID. Details are in YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Test before starting and monitor the live stream
Use a test with audio and movement similar to the planned stream. Check stream health and messages, wait for the preview, listen for the playlist audio, and continue monitoring audio and video during the event. YouTube recommends upload-bandwidth headroom of 20%; that is a bandwidth recommendation, not an audio-bitrate setting. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
