That produces a rendered document, not necessarily a literal full-page screenshot: the official materials describe URL-to-PDF conversion but do not document a dedicated full-page screenshot mode or promise pixel-exact reproduction. If you need a screenshot image instead of a paginated PDF, use a screenshot tool.
Save a webpage as a PDF in Html2Pdf.app
The no-code converter accepts a webpage URL or raw HTML. For a URL-based conversion:
- Open the Html2Pdf.app online converter.
- Enter the URL of a publicly reachable webpage.
- Generate the PDF, then use the converter’s download or save controls. Exact current button labels are not specified in the official product information.
- Open the saved PDF and check that its content, layout and page breaks are suitable.
A page behind a login, or one the service cannot access, may not convert through the URL workflow. Html2Pdf.app describes this as converting a URL or HTML to PDF; it does not establish that the process captures every visual detail or content loaded only through particular interactions.
What the PDF does—and does not—capture
A PDF conversion renders webpage content into a document that can span multiple pages. It is useful for reading, sharing or printing page content, but it is not automatically equivalent to one tall screenshot image. The official documentation does not describe a dedicated full-page screenshot toggle or guarantee pixel-perfect output.

Html2Pdf.app says conversions run in headless Chromium and support modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The output can still vary with the page’s CSS media rules, fonts and other resources, and when JavaScript finishes loading. Inspect the resulting file rather than assuming it matches the live browser view.
Automate conversion with the API
The documented API uses a synchronous POST to https://api.html2pdf.app/v1/generate with an X-API-Key header. The html field can contain either a publicly reachable URL or raw HTML. On success, the response body contains PDF bytes—not JSON or text—so check the HTTP status before saving it.

API options that affect the document
The documented settings let you control layout and rendering. Defaults are A4 paper, portrait orientation, zero margins, screen CSS media, scale 1 and no additional wait.
- Paper and orientation: choose portrait or landscape, standard formats such as A4 or Letter, or custom width and height.
- Margins: set document margins to suit printing or reading.
- CSS media: select
screenorprint. A site may style these modes differently. - Scale: set a value from 0.1 to 2.
- JavaScript wait: specify a delay from 0 to 10 seconds for JavaScript or asynchronous resources before rendering.
- Filename: specify the output filename.
- Page breaks: use CSS page-break rules to control where selected elements begin new PDF pages.
For long pages, review page breaks and check for clipped content. If images, charts or web fonts are missing, confirm that those resources can be reached and allow enough time for the page to load.

Errors, access and privacy
Common API errors
- 400: The URL may not be publicly reachable or a parameter may be invalid. Check the URL and request fields.
- 401: The API key is missing or invalid. Check the
X-API-Keyheader. - 403: A plan limit may have been reached. Check the account’s plan and usage.
- 500: The service encountered an unhandled server error. The documentation advises correcting 400, 401 and 403 causes before retrying; it does not identify a specific fix for a 500 response.
The API also supports asynchronous requests using callBackUrl; the callback includes the PDF encoded in a document field. That route is intended for workflows that need asynchronous processing, not a one-off manual conversion.
Submitting sensitive pages
Html2Pdf.app’s documentation says generated PDFs are processed temporarily and are not permanently stored on its servers. It says raw HTML or text sent in the html field is not stored in conversion logs, while selected request metadata and a source URL may be retained. For confidential content, review the service’s privacy policy and data processing agreement before submitting it.
