Set up a scheduled prerecorded event with Restream
- Enable YouTube livestreaming first. Restream’s YouTube guide says the channel must have livestreaming enabled. First-time activation requires phone verification and a 24-hour wait. The account owner must connect the YouTube channel.
- Create a prerecorded livestream in Restream. Select the uploaded video you want to broadcast.
- Choose whether to loop it. Set a loop count if needed, keeping the documented limit of 10 loops and 40 hours in mind.
- Select the connected destination channels. If you need an event post in advance, Restream lists Facebook profiles/pages, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X as supported destinations for that feature.
- Schedule the event. Restream says the event airs automatically at the scheduled time. Check the destination’s requirements because some platforms may still require you to start the broadcast manually there.
Restream’s YouTube guide says YouTube has no stream-duration limit, but archives only streams shorter than 12 hours.
