Open the webpage, take a regular screenshot, then tap Scroll capture (the downward-arrows icon) in the screenshot toolbar. Tap it again to extend the image, or press and hold it on supported Galaxy software to keep scrolling. When you finish, find the image in Gallery.
Take a scrolling screenshot
- Open the webpage in your browser and scroll to the place where you want the screenshot to start.
- Press the Side or Power key and Volume Down together to take a standard screenshot. Button names and placement can vary by Galaxy model.
- When the screenshot toolbar appears, tap Scroll capture, shown as downward arrows. Tap the icon again to capture more of the page.
- On devices with Samsung’s newer interaction, press and hold the Scroll capture icon to continue scrolling farther. Tap outside the toolbar to finish.
- Open Gallery to view the saved image. Samsung notes that the image may be resized automatically and the amount captured can vary with the page.
The option appears only when the displayed content extends beyond one screen, and some websites or apps may not support it. Samsung Canada’s screenshot instructions describe this availability limit.
If Scroll capture does not appear
- Check that the page is long enough. Scroll capture is offered when the current view has content beyond one screen. Try a longer section of the webpage.
- Check the screenshot toolbar setting. On supported software, go to Settings → Advanced features → Screenshots and screen recorder → Show toolbar after capturing. Samsung’s menu labels and layout may differ by model and software version.
- Try another page or app. Some websites and apps do not support Scroll capture. Some apps may also block screenshots because of copyright restrictions.
- Search Settings or check your model’s manual. If the path above does not match your phone, search Settings for “screenshot” or consult the manual for your Galaxy model. Samsung’s regional instructions note that controls and labels can vary by model and software version.
