Yes. You can put reruns of different games in one YouTube playlist. But a playlist organizes videos; YouTube’s documented live-streaming workflow does not make a playlist itself a continuous live broadcast that switches between games.

What “one playlist” can mean

Collecting reruns from different games

A YouTube playlist is a collection of videos, and YouTube recommends organizing live-stream archives and highlights into playlists. Its playlist guidance does not require the videos to cover the same game, so you can use one playlist for reruns of several titles. YouTube Help: Create & manage playlists · YouTube Help: Promote your live stream

Broadcasting one continuous stream that changes games

That is a different setup. YouTube treats a live broadcast as a separately configured stream, with its own settings and a source such as an encoder, console, webcam, or mobile device. The YouTube guidance cited here does not document a playlist as the source that plays videos continuously in one live broadcast. That distinction does not rule out every external automation or encoder setup; it means playlist support for that workflow is not established by YouTube’s documented process. Format How it works Best suited to
Separate game streams, one archive playlist Configure each broadcast separately. When its replay or archive is available as a video, add it to the shared playlist. Viewers who want to watch past streams on demand, grouped in one place.
One continuous live broadcast switching games Configure a live broadcast and provide a live source. The playlist itself is not documented as that source. Creators who specifically want a continuous live viewing experience and can manage a separate stream source.

The first option follows YouTube’s documented guidance: after a live stream ends, a channel may post a replay or highlights, which appear as videos; YouTube also recommends organizing archives and highlights into playlists. Learn about live streams · Promote your live stream

How to organize reruns from multiple games

  1. Set up and run each broadcast separately. In YouTube Studio or Live Control Room, configure the stream and choose an available method, such as an encoder, console, webcam, or mobile device. Set the stream’s relevant metadata. Manage live stream settings · Get started with live streaming
  2. Use the replay or archive as a video. After the broadcast, YouTube may post a replay or highlights to the channel. Add the resulting video to your rerun playlist. Learn about live streams · Promote your live stream
  3. Label each game accurately. Make the game clear in each video’s title and description, and check its category. A mixed playlist does not replace video-level metadata used to identify gaming content. Browse gaming content on YouTube
  4. Add the videos to the same playlist. Use a descriptive playlist title so viewers understand that it contains reruns from multiple games. You can keep one mixed collection or create separate playlists if you want viewers to browse by game.

Keep the viewer experience clear

  • For on-demand viewing: one mixed playlist offers a single place to find reruns, while accurate titles and descriptions tell viewers which game each video covers.
  • For a live audience: configure broadcasts as streams rather than treating the archive playlist as a live channel. Live viewing and chat are part of the broadcast experience; a playlist is a collection viewers can watch as videos.
  • For game discovery: use the correct game details on each video. YouTube advises checking title, description, and category when a gaming video appears under the wrong topic. Browse gaming content on YouTube
