For a regular prerecorded Tamil video, upload it directly in YouTube Studio; you do not need Streamlabs Talk Studio. Use Talk Studio only if you want to schedule that prerecorded file as a YouTube live broadcast. The two workflows produce different viewer experiences, so choose the one that matches your goal.
Choose between a normal upload and a scheduled live event

Upload a prerecorded Tamil video normally
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Create → Upload videos, then choose your finished video file. YouTube Help: Upload videos
- Add the title and description. YouTube’s help page says a video title can contain up to 100 characters. Complete the other details, including visibility, category and any captions or subtitles you plan to add.
- Set the original video language to Tamil if Tamil is the language spoken in the video. In YouTube Studio, find the video’s language setting in its details. YouTube says this setting helps it and contributors understand the video’s original language; it does not translate the audio. YouTube Help: Change the language of your uploaded video
- Add Tamil subtitles or captions if useful. YouTube Studio supports adding a language and providing subtitles by uploading a file, using auto-sync or entering them manually. Check the available options and review the result in your own Studio; availability and transcription quality should not be assumed.
- Review the details and visibility before publishing or scheduling. If you close the upload flow before selecting visibility, YouTube says the upload remains private in the Content page.
Schedule the file as a live event in Talk Studio
1. Prepare your account, browser and connection
Create or sign in to a Streamlabs account and open Talk Studio in Chrome or Safari. Streamlabs’ getting-started guide lists a stable internet connection and at least 5 Mbps upload as requirements; it recommends 10 Mbps for 720p and 20 Mbps for 1080p. 2. Connect your YouTube destination
In Talk Studio, open account settings, choose Destinations, select Add Destination, choose YouTube and complete the authorization prompts. Follow the YouTube eligibility and initial unlisted test steps if Talk Studio or YouTube requires them. Streamlabs’ guide says to allow about 24 hours after verification and the test; confirm the current status in YouTube Studio before planning an event.
3. Set up the recording inputs if needed
Allow browser camera and microphone access if your production uses them, then choose the intended camera and audio input and use Talk Studio’s audio test controls. For a video-only prerecorded broadcast, a camera may not be needed. If you are recording narration or commentary, test the sound before the event rather than discovering an input problem at broadcast time.

4. Schedule the prerecorded video
- In Talk Studio, open the schedule control and create a schedule.
- Select YouTube as the destination and choose Pre-recorded video.
- Upload the finished file. Check that it meets the account’s current size and duration limits before scheduling.
- Enter the event title, description, date and time, and add a thumbnail.
- Schedule the event, then open YouTube Studio to confirm the destination, timing and final event details.
Streamlabs documents this route for presenting prerecorded video as a live event. It does not replace YouTube Studio’s ordinary upload flow for a conventional on-demand video.
Set Tamil language and captions thoughtfully
For a standard upload, select Tamil as the original language when the video’s spoken language is Tamil. Add captions or subtitles when they will help your audience, and review any generated text for names, lyrics, dialect and spelling before relying on it. The language metadata labels the original audio; it is not a translation or a promise of increased views or recommendations. The cited guidance does not establish Tamil-specific discovery results.

Copyright and channel policy checks
Before uploading or scheduling, make sure you have the rights needed for the video, music, images and other material it contains. A prerecorded file presented as live is still subject to YouTube’s applicable copyright and channel rules. Do not assume that scheduling through Talk Studio changes those requirements.
Recording-only settings and retention
If you only need a recording rather than a YouTube event, Talk Studio offers Cloud Recording and Local Recording options. Streamlabs describes cloud recording as a complete recording with an audio-only download, while local recording provides separate tracks per participant. Its recording guide lists sessions up to four hours on Standard and ten hours on Pro, and retention of the 15 most recent recordings for 15 days on Standard and 30 days on Pro. Troubleshoot common setup problems
- You cannot connect YouTube: Check the destination authorization, channel verification and any required initial unlisted live test. Then confirm the live feature is available in YouTube Studio; allow the waiting period indicated by Streamlabs if you have just completed onboarding.
- The scheduled file will not upload: Check the file size and duration against the current limits for your Talk Studio plan. Streamlabs’ guide lists 5 GB, one hour for Standard and two hours for Pro/Ultra, but verify these in your account.
- The stream has weak or unstable output: Check that your upload connection is stable and meets Streamlabs’ guidance for your target resolution. Avoid assuming a speed test alone guarantees a stable broadcast.
- There is no microphone or camera: Recheck browser permissions and the selected input in Talk Studio. A prerecorded video-only event may not need a camera; narration or live commentary does require the intended audio input.
- The video appears in the wrong language or has no useful captions: Set the video’s original language to Tamil in Studio and add or review subtitles separately. Language metadata does not translate the audio.
- The upload is private unexpectedly: Return to YouTube Studio’s Content page, open the video and set the intended visibility or schedule it. YouTube says closing the upload window before choosing visibility leaves it private.
