You can stream Marathi abhangs continuously on YouTube Live by sending a music playlist through an encoder, such as software on a computer or a dedicated hardware encoder. Create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, enter its server URL and stream key in the encoder, check the preview and stream health, then start the broadcast. The difficult parts are not a special YouTube device: they are securing rights to each recording, maintaining a reliable connection, and planning around YouTube’s archive and rewind limits for streams over 12 hours.
Before you start: eligibility, music rights, and the source playlist
Check that the channel can livestream
YouTube’s live-stream tips say a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Check the channel’s status before planning a continuous broadcast; eligibility can be specific to the channel.
Confirm rights to the exact recording
A traditional abhang does not automatically make every recording or arrangement free to stream. You need the necessary rights for the specific performance and recording you use. YouTube’s livestream terms require the content provider to have necessary rights, including music licensing rights. Keep licensing or ownership records accessible. If you have permission to use third-party content, ask the rights holder whether your channel needs to be added to its Content ID allowlist; permission alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt or terminate a stream when it detects material. Its copyright help advises: “If your live stream stops, check your YouTube Studio dashboard for strikes.”

Prepare a playlist that can run unattended
Arrange only cleared recordings in the order you want them heard, and check the transitions, volume consistency, and total runtime before going live. Decide who will monitor the stream and what to do if the source, computer, power, or internet connection fails. An encoder can send the playlist, but it cannot grant music rights or guarantee an uninterrupted connection.
How to set up the YouTube Live encoder stream
- Open YouTube Studio and create an encoder stream. Create or schedule a live stream using the encoder workflow. YouTube’s stream key is a credential that lets its service accept your feed; treat it like a password.
- Copy the server URL and stream key. In the stream’s settings in YouTube Studio, copy the server URL and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoding software or hardware. Do not publish, send, or show the key to viewers. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Configure the encoder for your source and connection. Select settings supported by the encoder and appropriate for the video source and available upload capacity. YouTube publishes guidance covering protocols, codecs, frame rate, bitrate, and audio settings; there is no single appropriate bitrate for every resolution, codec, and kind of motion. YouTube transcodes live video into different output formats, so match the encoder’s output to its published guidance rather than guessing a universal setting.
- Start the feed and inspect Live Control Room. Start sending the encoder output, then confirm that YouTube receives it and that the preview looks and sounds right. Check stream health before directing viewers to the broadcast.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Watch audio and video, connection health, and the local recording during the stream. YouTube recommends testing the setup and leaving upload-bandwidth headroom; its network tips recommend 20% headroom.
Plan the 24/7 schedule around YouTube’s archive and DVR limits
A continuous broadcast is not the same thing as a guaranteed saved replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. It also says DVR, which lets viewers pause and rewind, may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours.

If having a replay matters, keep a separate local recording and verify that its file is growing. YouTube recommends a local archive backup because an over-12-hour stream may not be archived. If you instead plan to divide the schedule into shorter sessions, test how the transitions work, including viewer notifications and the experience of finding the next stream. That is an operational workaround to test, not a guarantee that a particular transition will preserve an uninterrupted viewing experience.
Choose a DIY encoder route
You can use software running on a computer or a dedicated hardware encoder. The right choice depends on the source workflow, initial cost, how much operator attention is available, whether you need a local recording, and how the setup behaves after power or network interruption. YouTube says expensive equipment is not necessary to get started; it recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events, but does not say one is required for a 24/7 devotional music stream. No particular hardware product is required by YouTube.

Whichever route you use, plan for a person to monitor the stream and a recovery procedure for outages. A computer-based encoder depends on that computer staying powered and connected. A hardware encoder still depends on a functioning source, power, and network connection. Test the entire playlist-to-YouTube path before relying on it for an unattended schedule.

Troubleshooting a continuous devotional stream
- YouTube does not receive the feed: Confirm the stream key and server URL in the encoder match the current YouTube Studio stream. Check that the encoder is sending and that the channel is eligible to livestream.
- The preview is missing or unhealthy: Check the encoder output, connection, and YouTube Live Control Room stream-health indicators before starting the broadcast. Reduce the output demands or improve available upload capacity if the connection cannot sustain the chosen settings.
- The stream stops after music is detected: Check YouTube Studio for strikes, as YouTube’s copyright help instructs. Review the exact recording and arrangement, licensing records, and whether the rights holder must allowlist the channel in Content ID.
- There is no replay after a long broadcast: YouTube warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured. Use the local recording as your backup and check that it is being written during the broadcast.
- Viewers cannot rewind: DVR may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. Tell viewers what to expect and consider testing shorter scheduled sessions if rewind or a replay is important.
- The stream breaks during a network or power interruption: Check the connection, power, encoder, and source, then restore the feed and confirm its preview and health before directing viewers back. YouTube cautions that connection disruption can break a stream; a local archive protects the recording, not the live connection.
