To loop recorded 10th standard classes on YouTube Live, send the lesson videos from a continuously running encoder to a YouTube live stream, and configure the playback source to repeat. You can run the encoder on a computer that stays on, or use cloud playout so your home computer and internet connection are not part of the continuous setup. Before starting, confirm live-stream eligibility, clear rights to every video and audio element, and test the loop and recovery behavior.
What a 24/7 YouTube class stream does
YouTube Live does not turn an ordinary video upload into a continuous broadcast. An encoder plays your recorded classes and sends that playback to YouTube as a live feed. YouTube receives the stream; the encoder or cloud playout service is responsible for repeating the files and keeping the feed running.
This format can make lessons available through a continuous live channel, but it is not a dependable replacement for separate on-demand class uploads. Keep the original recordings and publish individual lessons or shorter sessions when students need reliable replay access.
Prepare the channel and lesson files
Check live-stream eligibility
YouTube requires the channel to be verified and not to have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s current Help guidance also says streamers must be at least 16. Check that live streaming is available on the channel before building the schedule. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance.

Confirm you have permission to broadcast everything
Use lesson recordings and any music, images, graphics, or other material that you are entitled to stream. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can cause a placeholder to replace the broadcast, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even licensed material may require the rights holder to allowlist the channel through Content ID. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and check permissions before going live.
Arrange files for continuous playback
Decide which lessons should repeat and in what order. A playlist is easier to manage than manually restarting one file, but playback behavior depends on the encoder or playout service. Check that every file has the intended audio and picture, and note whether the last lesson should return to the first or stop. Test what happens when a file ends, when the playlist reaches its end, and when playback or the connection is restarted.

Choose where the encoder will run
| Option | What stays running | Trade-off to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Local encoder | A computer, encoder software, and internet connection must remain operational. | You control the local files and encoder settings, but power, internet, or software interruptions can stop the feed. |
| Cloud playout | A remote service plays the uploaded recordings and sends the feed to YouTube. | Your home computer need not stay on, but you depend on the provider’s terms, storage, service operation, and recovery features. Check those details directly before choosing a provider. |
If you already have a suitable computer, you may not need to buy hardware; YouTube says expensive equipment is not required to start. A local setup still relies on that computer and connection staying up. Cloud services can run playback remotely, but their features and reliability are service-specific.
Set up the YouTube stream
- Open YouTube Studio and Live Control Room. Create or schedule an encoder stream. Use the visibility setting that fits the class: public for anyone to find, unlisted for access by link, or private for restricted viewing. The available visibility options are described in YouTube’s live-stream settings guidance.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key. Enter them in your encoder or cloud playout service as its YouTube destination. YouTube’s steps are in Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Protect the key. Treat it like a password: do not publish it or share it with students. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube’s stream settings and update the encoder with the new key.
- Add the class recordings to the playback source. Set the chosen software or service to repeat the lesson or playlist. Controls vary by software and version, so confirm the current repeat and restart behavior in its own documentation rather than assuming one menu path applies everywhere.
- Connect and verify the broadcast. Start the encoder, confirm YouTube receives the feed, and check the picture and sound in the Live Control Room before relying on unattended playback.
Use compatible encoder settings and test them
YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends RTMP or RTMPS, H.264 video, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval; it says the keyframe interval should not exceed four seconds. YouTube recommends RTMPS because it encrypts the data sent to its servers. Consult YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrate, and resolution guidance for settings appropriate to your selected resolution and frame rate.

Easily configure it into software routers, hardware firewalls (pfSense, OpnSense), home NAS servers, or local homelabs.
- Resolution and bitrate: Choose a bitrate that fits both the desired picture quality and the sustained upload capacity of the connection. Test with representative lesson footage, including the most visually demanding material, rather than assuming a connection’s brief peak speed will hold.
- Keyframes and codec: Use H.264 and set the keyframe interval to two seconds where your encoder exposes the setting; do not exceed YouTube’s four-second maximum recommendation.
- Audio: Listen to the stream, not only the source file. Confirm speech is clear and that music or other audio is not unexpectedly too loud or missing.
- Loop and recovery: Test file boundaries, the transition from the final lesson to the first, and what happens after a connection loss or application restart. A successful first connection does not prove unattended operation will recover correctly.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Plan for archives and student replay
YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, and DVR rewind on very long streams can be limited or unavailable. These limits make a single continuous 24/7 broadcast a poor sole archive for lessons. Preserve your source files and publish separate on-demand lesson videos or shorter live sessions when students need dependable access to a particular class. See YouTube’s guidance on DVR for live streams and its encoder-stream archive guidance.

Quick Recap
Troubleshoot common interruptions
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not receive the stream | The encoder is not connected to the correct stream URL or key, or the channel is not eligible for live streaming. | Confirm live access in YouTube Studio, then recheck the destination URL and current stream key in both YouTube and the encoder. |
| The broadcast stops at the end of a lesson or playlist | Repeat is not enabled, or the playback source stops when the playlist ends. | Enable the software’s repeat/loop behavior and test the final-to-first transition before leaving it unattended. |
| Feed drops after a network or application failure | The local connection, computer, encoder, or service has stopped sending video. | Check connection and encoder status, then test restart and reconnection behavior. Do not assume a one-time successful connection proves automatic recovery. |
| Picture or sound becomes unstable | The chosen output settings may exceed sustained upload capacity, or the source or encoder settings may be unsuitable. | Review YouTube stream health, test at a lower suitable resolution or bitrate, and verify audio and video with representative lesson content. |
| Broadcast is interrupted or replaced with a placeholder | YouTube may have detected third-party content. | Review the matched material and broadcast only content you have rights to use; where a license applies, confirm whether the rights holder must allowlist the channel through Content ID. |
| Students cannot rewind to an earlier lesson or find a complete replay | A very long stream may have limited DVR or may not be archived. | Keep original lesson files and provide separate on-demand uploads or shorter live sessions for reliable lesson access. |
