What’s actually slowing this PC down?

In Chrome for Android, open the page and wait for the content you need to appear. Then tap More > Share > Long screenshot, adjust the crop handles, tap Confirm, and save or share the image. A slow connection does not change those steps, but a screenshot can only include content that has loaded.
Capture a full webpage in Chrome
- Open the webpage in Chrome and wait for the part you want to capture to finish loading. On a slow connection, some text or images may take longer to appear.
- Tap More beside the address bar, then tap Share and Long screenshot. See Google’s Chrome instructions for sharing tabs on Android.
- Drag the crop handles to include the length of the page you want. Tap Confirm.
- Save the image on your device or share it with another app.
What a slow connection changes
The screenshot controls capture the page as it is available in Chrome; they do not speed up loading or retrieve content that never arrived. Google says ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT means a page took too long to connect, which can happen when the connection is too slow or the page is too busy. If the content you need is missing, wait for it to load before capturing. If the page remains incomplete or fails to load, the screenshot cannot show the missing content.
Chrome’s documented instructions explain how to make and save a long screenshot, but do not promise a way to capture unloaded content or a maximum capture length. Avoid assuming that a partly loaded or changing page will be captured in full.
Save the page first if you may lose connectivity
- While you still have a connection, open the page in Chrome.
- Tap More > Download.
- Later, open Chrome’s More > Downloads to find the saved page and read it offline.
Google requires an internet connection to save a page this way. A download is an offline-reading fallback, not a guarantee that scripts, live updates, or content that had not loaded will be preserved. See Google’s instructions for reading pages later and offline.

If Chrome’s Long screenshot option is missing
Try Android’s built-in scrolling screenshot instead. On Android 12 and later, take a screenshot and tap Capture more when it appears; adjust the crop guides to select more of the screen. The option is available on most screens that allow scrolling, not every screen or device. Follow Android Help’s screenshot instructions for your device.
The standard screenshot shortcut is commonly Power + Volume down, but button methods vary by phone. If that shortcut does not work, consult your phone manufacturer’s instructions. Android’s Capture more is a device-level alternative; Chrome’s Long screenshot starts from the browser’s page-sharing menu.

Troubleshooting
- The page is blank or incomplete: Give it more time to load and confirm the connection is still active. The capture feature does not recover content the page has not loaded.
- Chrome shows
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT: Google identifies a slow connection or a busy page as possible causes. Retry when the connection is more reliable or the page is less busy. Google’s common Chrome error guidance explains the timeout. - There is no Long screenshot choice: Check the Chrome path More > Share. If the option still is not available, try Android’s Capture more on a scrollable screen, if your device offers it.
- The saved page does not show live or missing material: Chrome’s offline download is for reading later; it does not guarantee that dynamic content or content that failed to load was saved.
Or skip the browser setup: ScreenshotNeo
If you need to capture a webpage from code rather than your Android phone, ScreenshotNeo provides a screenshot API. This is a different workflow from Chrome’s on-device long screenshot, and it still needs the target page to be reachable for a capture. One GET request returns an image or PDF; this cURL example saves a WebP image:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webpSee the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. Before capture, it accepts consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each cleanup step can be disabled. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. ScreenshotNeo also has an MCP server for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.
