To capture an entire Firefox webpage with its web fonts, wait for the page to render, check font readiness in the Web Console with await document.fonts.ready, then open Firefox’s screenshot tool and choose Save full page. If the screenshot still uses fallback fonts, check whether Firefox or an extension is blocking the font files.

Wait for the page’s fonts before capturing

  1. Open the webpage in Firefox and wait for its content to finish rendering.
  2. For a more deliberate readiness check, open the Web Console for that page and evaluate await document.fonts.ready. The promise fulfills after fonts used by the document have loaded and related layout operations are complete.
  3. When the expression resolves, proceed to the screenshot tool.

This is a timing check, not a command to fetch every font mentioned in the site’s CSS. Fonts that are not actually used may remain unloaded, and optional fonts may not load in time. If a font is blocked or the page never requests it, waiting for the promise will not make it available.

Save the full webpage in Firefox

  1. Open the page you want to capture.
  2. Start the screenshot tool either by right-clicking an empty area of the page and choosing Take Screenshot, or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS. Mozilla’s Firefox Screenshots help documents these entry points.
  3. In the screenshot interface, select Save full page. Choose Save visible instead only if you want the currently visible viewport rather than the entire webpage.
  4. Download the image or copy it to the clipboard using the available action.

Firefox’s built-in tool supports both full-page and visible-area captures. This workflow does not require a Developer Tools screenshot button; older guidance about enabling one refers to a historical interface.

If the screenshot still shows fallback typography

Check whether font requests are blocked

Investigate Firefox preferences and extensions that may block remote fonts, then check whether the page’s font resource is reachable. Mozilla Support’s older forum discussion of missing fonts mentions blocked downloads, preferences, and extensions as possible causes; treat it as troubleshooting context rather than definitive instructions for current Firefox settings.

Distinguish a timing issue from a missing font

  • If the page’s fonts have not finished loading, wait and check await document.fonts.ready again before capturing.
  • If the promise resolves but the page still uses a fallback face, readiness alone does not prove that every declared font was fetched. The font may be unused, optional, blocked, or unavailable.
  • If the font resource cannot be reached, address that access problem first. Repeating the screenshot cannot supply a font the page did not load.

ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot with one GET request. Cookie banners are accepted and removed before the shot, along with known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; these steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and whether the request was billed.
