Yes. You can watch a fireplace livestream with YouTube Ambient mode enabled where the setting is available. It adds a colored glow around the player; it does not create the fireplace image, change the stream itself, or keep a broadcast live.
What Ambient mode does—and what it does not do
YouTube describes Ambient mode as a lighting effect that casts gentle colors from the video into the screen’s background. It is a viewer-side display effect, separate from the video pixels the channel sends to YouTube. The glow may accompany a fireplace livestream, but it will not appear for viewers who have the setting off or cannot access it. YouTube Help: Watch YouTube in ambient mode
Ambient mode is not a creator or encoder setting. To put a fireplace visual on YouTube continuously, the creator needs to send a live feed through a streaming workflow. YouTube documents encoder setup separately from the watch-page Ambient mode control. YouTube Help: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions
How to turn Ambient mode on or off
On a computer
YouTube’s desktop instructions associate Ambient mode with Dark theme: it is enabled automatically when Dark theme is on. To turn the effect off, open Settings on the watch page and toggle Ambient mode.

What a creator needs for a 24/7 fireplace feed
A continuous fireplace stream needs a separate source for the video and a streaming workflow that sends it to YouTube. Ambient mode cannot substitute for that setup. YouTube recommends testing with representative audio and motion, monitoring stream health, and choosing settings that fit the available upload connection. It recommends RTMPS, and its recommended bitrate depends on codec, resolution, and frame rate; there is no single suitable bitrate without those details. Plan separately for the live feed and the recording
A 24/7 broadcast should not be treated as a guaranteed complete YouTube archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If preserving a complete recording matters, keep a separate local recording. This archive warning does not itself say that the live broadcast must stop after 12 hours. If the fireplace video includes music, make sure the channel has the rights needed to use it in a livestream, including any applicable music licensing rights. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for the live content on the provider. YouTube livestream terms and conditions
