Use Edge’s Screenshot or Web capture feature
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S.
- Select Capture full page.
- Review the screenshot, then save it to your device.
Microsoft’s current feature page calls this tool Screenshot and lists the keyboard shortcut. It also says the feature can be opened from the right-click menu or the Edge Settings menu. If the shortcut does not open the tool, check those menus for Screenshot or Web capture. Microsoft’s materials use both names, and the label or availability may vary by version or rollout; the documentation does not establish that every Linux installation has the same menu item. Microsoft’s Screenshot feature instructions and its January 2, 2024 Web capture walkthrough describe the capture, review, and save workflow.
Use DevTools if the browser capture option is missing
- With the webpage open, press Ctrl+Shift+I to open Edge DevTools.
- Make sure DevTools has focus, then press Ctrl+Shift+P to open its Command Menu.
- Search for the full-size screenshot command and choose Capture a full size screenshot. The wording may vary slightly.
- Open or locate the resulting image and check that the content you need is present.
Microsoft documents the DevTools shortcuts for Windows and Linux, and says the full-size command captures the whole page, including content outside the visible viewport. See Microsoft’s full-size screenshot instructions and its DevTools shortcut reference.
Which method should you use?

Check the result on long or changing pages
Full-page capture extends beyond the visible viewport, but that does not guarantee that every website will render every element identically in the saved image. Lazy-loaded images, content that changes while the page is open, and embedded content can affect what appears. Inspect the saved screenshot and, if something is missing, allow the page to finish loading or scroll through it to trigger lazy-loaded content before capturing again.

Troubleshooting
Ctrl+Shift+S does nothing
Try the right-click menu or Edge Settings menu and look for Screenshot or Web capture. If you cannot find it, use the DevTools method; Microsoft’s documentation does not confirm identical Linux availability across Edge versions.

The Command Menu does not open
Click inside DevTools so it has focus, then press Ctrl+Shift+P. If DevTools itself is closed, open it first with Ctrl+Shift+I.

Confirm you selected the full-page or full-size command rather than a visible-area capture. For lazy-loaded pages, scroll through the page to prompt content to load, then capture again and inspect the saved file.

The saved image looks incomplete or different from the page
Wait for the page to finish loading and check whether content is dynamic or embedded. The documented workflows capture beyond the viewport, but do not guarantee identical rendering for every site or page state.
