Safari on Mac does not document a built-in scrolling screenshot command. To save a webpage’s printable content, choose File > Print (or press Command-P), then select PDF > Save as PDF in the print dialog. This creates a paginated PDF—not one tall screenshot image. If you specifically need an image, macOS’s built-in screenshot controls capture the screen, a window, or a selected area, rather than a scrolling page.
Save a webpage as a PDF in Safari

Open the page in Safari on your Mac and let its content finish loading.

-
Review the print preview. Check whether content is missing or split awkwardly across pages.
-
In the print dialog, choose PDF > Save as PDF.

Choose the right kind of capture
“Full-page screenshot” can mean either a tall visual image of an entire webpage or a file that retains its printable content. Safari’s built-in print workflow handles the latter; macOS screenshot controls capture visible screen areas rather than a scrolling page.

These controls are useful when the visible screen is what you want to document. They do not turn the capture into a scrolling webpage image. Apple’s current screenshot guide says supported Mac models using macOS Tahoe 26 or later save SDR screenshots as PNG and HDR screenshots as HEIF: Take a screenshot on Mac.
Save a reusable webpage copy instead
In Safari, choose File > Save As and select Web Archive when you want a saved webpage copy with its graphics and links. Links continue to work only while their destination pages remain available. Choose Page Source if you want the HTML itself; that is source code, not a visual record.
