To repeat a YouTube playlist on a Chromebook, open a video from that playlist in YouTube, expand the playlist panel beside the player, and click Loop. That repeats the playlist; to repeat just the current video, right-click the video player and choose Loop.
Loop a YouTube playlist on your Chromebook
- Open YouTube in your Chromebook browser and navigate to a video in the playlist you want to repeat.
- Find the playlist panel beside the video player. If it is collapsed or hidden, expand the playlist panel.
- In the playlist box, click Loop. YouTube will repeat the playlist continuously.
The playlist control applies to the whole playlist, not just the video currently playing. YouTube’s computer instructions may be presented in a slightly different layout as the interface changes, but look for the playlist panel beside the player.
Repeat only the current video
If you want the same video to restart rather than move through the playlist, right-click inside the video player and choose Loop. This is a separate control from looping the playlist.

What looping means for a YouTube Live broadcast
While the stream is live
An active YouTube Live broadcast is real-time playback, not a completed video in a playlist. Looping a playlist does not make an ongoing broadcast restart from its beginning. YouTube Live DVR may let you pause, rewind, and resume a live stream, but viewers cannot seek to a point before the stream began. DVR may also be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours.

After the broadcast ends
A channel may post a replay or highlights after a live stream ends, but not every broadcast has a replay. To loop an ended event, first check that its replay is available as a video; then open it from a playlist, or add it to a playlist that you can open and loop.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Check the channel for an available replay rather than assuming one was saved.
